On a sidenote, I also heard on a recent podcast that only 15% of Live users download paid DLC. One of the main reasons Rockstar and M$ screwed us over and released GTA DLC on a disc when it was supposed to be download only. They had to recoup their money.

Maybe they would make more money if they didn't fuck people so much.

The Gamer Husbands also made a great point concerning the ridiculously overpriced 360 hard drives. If they weren't so expensive maybe more people would be inlined to upgrade from their paltry 20 gigs and the have room to download some DLC. It seems like a win-win to me.

leftover points you cant do anything with is lame. happens on 360 and ps3 but ive had it happen to me more on 360.

microsoft makes it so their is always something to get they even have weekly deals sometimes like i mentioned earlier the indie games are cheap and some are pretty cool

I do think the deals are cool. But a lot of the time the deals make the games even stranger prices, like 320 points and such. That's when you get screwed.

Honestly, if you are listening to a podcast where they have to stop and think how much will it be for 540 points (540/80 = $7 you need to buy (560pts)) then you probably should start questioning the respectability of the podcast.

And seriously, are we breaking our balls over a couple points here. Man you guys penny pinch like no tomorrow. Boohoo 200pts are left on my account and I can't do anything with them. Sure, it would be nice if you could just have a slider bar that goes from 0 to 10,000 points and you select how much you need, but we don't have it. I understand the economy is bad, but are we seriously going to shit ourselves over $2.50? And besides, the majority of you complaining about having extra are the people who BUY DLC. I don't buy it and I have like 300-700 pts on their still. And when something comes along I'll get it.
