    PS2 "Classics" coming to PSN?

The long-rumored, recently leaked existence of PlayStation 2 games joining the "PS One Classics" line comes a bit closer to reality, at least in the mind of PlayStation senior VP Peter Dille who calls the digital re-issues a "terrific opportunity."

    Man would that be awesome.

it'd be intresting to see the cost. If Games on Demand for 360 are $20-$30, the ps3 memory you can put on PSN cost a signifcant amount more. As long as the prices are reasonable im all for it. I do happen to have 250 GB of free space.

Why am I not surprised that twigg ISN'T bitching about this. haha.

Classic twigg response which he won't do because its a PS3:

Thats bullshit, instead of just making the games work on here they are going to make us re pay for the game to download it. Greedy $ony always trying to rip us off!
        Now back to normal.

This looks pretty sweet though. If the library starts building up a bit that might be it for me getting a PS3. I played the ever living crap out of my PS1 back in the day but sadly most of the games for it have been lost over time and I have no way of getting them back unless I ebay'd them. Add onto it I'm a huge sucker for digital download content.

        Leafs offseason training!

          This made me genuinely laugh.

Twigg, you probably have actual physical, PS2 games that you still haven't even played (perhaps unopened?)!

I think he's referring more to the fact that Twigg's backlog of unplayed games is unprecedented.

This actually doesn't affect me because my PS3 is backwards compatible. I just figured I would pass the info on to others.

I love how I'm seen as some Sony fanboy. I shit on Sony all the time when they do stupid shit. For instance, this whole reality tv show The Tester might be the dumbest thing I've seen in years.

I just hate Microsoft's marketing on most of their shit. It's like they are the new EA. I hate the points, I hate their overpriced games (everything is $10 or more; check PSN and there are loads of great games anywhere from $3 to $10). And of course I hate their completely unreliable console. When it works it's great. Hell, I've been playing a ton of my 360 the past few weeks.

The only games I'd want are the last-gen Madden (05-06) and NCAA (Anything from 06 forward).

I'm honestly contemplating buying an original Xbox (or PS2) just to play those again.

Would love to have the old GTA's back. It would be sick if NFL 2k5 came back too.

I'm guessing they wouldn't bring sports games back. It would probably be stuff like Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Shadow of the Collosus, etc.

I was hoping for FF10 MGS2 and MGS3. Id love to give snake eater another run through that game was just fucking amazing.

yea honestly I dont know why they would bring back sports games. I would only buy a game that is hard to find though, because I have a ps2 and always prefer the physical copy.

its a nice option to provide. One that i will never use. I would rather have the actual disc.....

I wish every game could come with a download only option.

Discs just feel so old fashion I dunno.

my feeling is more based on the 360 and its crappy transfer options. if they used a normal hard drive like the ps3 uses it would not be a problem for me
