    Interested In Game

I heard this game is amazing and really looking into it. I don't know much (like really anything lol) about hockey. I downloaded the demo and it was pretty fun.

Is the game worth getting? :marshmellow:

Most would say yes, so it basically comes down to wanting to buy the game now or wait for the next game to come out. What you played in the demo is off now from what the game is now. Been tuners and patches, so things have changed. But got to start somewhere with hockey.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

    "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

It's pretty fun, even if you don't know hockey. Fun to skate around and hit people, etc. But as you pick up more on the nuances it gets even better.

I've rekindled my love for hockey in recent months and am loving it. So much to like about the sport, both in video game form and IRL.

I've played 6 games so far and every game is a 6-1 type loss. It doesn't help that I am the Thrashers also lol

Try to keep the puck, don't shoot all the time, don't try to skate forward all the time.

That is my best advice. Scoring is pretty tough at first, really work for good shots, and when in doubt, slap shot or try to set up a cross crease pass.

i've been trying to work a good shot but i end up passing too much. I only get like 15 shots a game and most aren't good shots either.

Also, I always give up 2 early goals. Every game :banghead:

Yea work on getting more shots, because if nothing else you'll get deflections or rebounds which help a lot

I started out like 1-17. Managed to crawl my way back to like 65-73 until a recent losing streak. Now I'm like 68-80 again...If only I had played the game last year I'd be solidly .500 right now, maybe a little better.

Once you get the hang of it you'll be ok. Play the CPU a few dozen times to learn how to set up some scores. Wrist shots are good because they're quick, use slap shots from outside, just makes sure nobody's in your way (try a fake shot if they are). Best case you get a rebound for an easy tap in.
