Online is horrible

Yeah, it was a joke. I played 1 game online in team play and that was enough for me.

However, offline has greatly improved. I've enjoyed the games I've played, I'm seeing new things every time.

NBA Live is still an arcade game, no matter how hard they try to push "improvements". Makes me think college hoops will be just as bad. Consider NCAA is all jump shots/execution, I'm worried on how it'll play.

My boy called me today and told me he was ranked #11 on xbox live on this game. I asked is he still just fast breaking and trying to dunk everytime. He just laughed, its crazy he's played that way since about live 01 and its never failed him. Surely you wouldve thought they'd make at least a tad harder to ANd1/NBA Jam cheese by now.

Offline. I'm a 2K fan boy all the way, but 2k9 was sold out, so my bro bought Live 09. I was like uhhh but, I'm addicted to it now. Eveything is on point, also you can play defense. I play lockdown D pretty well. The graphics are amazing, the players faces look fine, but some are like WTF.

Gameplay is also great, it is type hard to score tho. But I'm a beast with Derrick Rose. Free throws were hard as hell to make, but now I got the hang of it. I just dont know how to do the Superstars moves, also the Dunk contest is very difficult. I have not played 2k9 yet, but I have played 2k8 on the 360, so far Live 09>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2k8.

Live really is a good game. Once you put the game speed up, and get a hang of the controls(in my case the Xbox 360 controls) it's hella fun.

I defiantly recommend the pick up for next gen, it wont disappoint. I play it everyday.

You're only saying that because you haven't played 2K9 yet. It's like how jacking off was fun until you actually have real sex, it's hard to go back.

The only thing I hate about 2K9 online is when those people play full man to man and pick off alot of passes when you're trying to in-bound the ball after your opponent just scored. It's a cheap way to get easy points.

2k > Live. Proven fact. Live's gameplay is weak although 2k online play isn't great either.

Oh yeah that's another thing about 2K9. The online menu/setup is horrible and the fact that when you play with others on the same team you can't pick what player you get is stupid. It should be first come first serve for picks.

It takes a long time but once you actually get into a game online it's nice. I just wish there was a way to friendly quit.

I only play 2k9 offline and I'm in love with it. On NBA Live i'm an online player. If you want an arcade game get live but if you want realistic basketball get 2k9. I for one love them both. I don't fuck with that nba 09 the inside bullshit tho man they made rip hamilton WHITE yes in the demo he's a white guy I swear to god.
