And now I don't feel like taking a step back a year and a half to start with Schalke again, and I'm not feeling the Ajax save. I don't know what it is.

Having said that, I think I've got one more save in me before I swing for the fences and run with Liverpool.

Sounds like you have the same issue I do with Ajax. The idea of running them - awesome. The actual game - not as awesome. It just doesn't quite "snap" for me. When I'm into a game, I'm eager to get to the next match and I really never get that feeling with Ajax on FM10 now.

What I've actually come to blame is the lack of a true core star player. They lack that one awesome player that really makes you love it. Suarez was kinda that on FM10, even if they never made him quite as good as reality. In older versions, you had Huntelaar, de Jong, van der Vaart, Sneijder... There is just something a bit different about having a player that, as opposed to buying one... The closest that Ajax has now is two solid CBs and Eriksen, who is a good 18 year but still only 18.

Next time I try Ajax - and I'm sure they will tempt me again - I might try editing one of the newgens you get at the start to have a high PA. Cheating, obviously, but if its helps me stick with the game for awhile, worth it.

Won the Premier League my first year. Also won the League Cup. Gerrard won the English Footballer of the Year award. Pretty good first year, hoping to add some good young players in the summer window.

I played him as a box to box midfielder with support duty. Him and Meireles both had success in that role.

Redknapp was being a real cunt about Bale, I'd offer 30 million, he'd counter with 75 million. We kept going at that until I offered 22 million up front and 22 million over 48 months and said it was non-negotiable and he accepted.

I'm trying to get Fernando Llorente as well and sell off some dead weight. Already gotten rid of Aquilani, Poulsen and Insua.

Uggh. My bad run of form has started. 2-0 loss to Spurs in the Carling final, 1-2 loss to Everton at home, 0-4 loss away to Stuttgart in Europa.

I am scoring goals, but the defence has gone leaky. Winston Reid, James Tomkins and Matty Upson can't seem to do shit. Onuoha isn't the force he was on the right that he was at the start of hte season

He would be but I really don't have anyone to fill in for him in that role. N'Gog kind of can but he does better coming on for Suarez.

Not sure what to do this season. We finished 7th last year, after fading hard down the stretch (that 30 match unbeaten run turned in to 3 wins in 10)

I feel we are solid in most places, and I think that will get us another top half finish. Might start looking for replacements for Parker and Green, but the ones I want are out of my price.

Also, Galatasaray is coming hard for Fatic. Have to see at what price they break me
