So I had all kinds of grand plans for a nice fun evening full of Kool-Aid chips and FM. Aaaaaand this is how real life went.
Worked 11.5 hours from 7 to 6.30. Stopped at BB to get it and it wasnt in yet. No biggie, Ill get it off steam. Had to pick up my daughter, cook dinner, and put her to bed tonight. LOL....FM was not even an option after my day. Im off to bed, and Sheffield Wednesday will have to wait another day to regain their prominence.
Game is unrealistic then. Sorry Lanteri. sortitoutsi.
Speaking of sorted, I figured out the logo issue I was having. Apparently FMF files from FM11 are not compatible with FM12. Not sure why the new logos I had downloaded yesterday wouldn't so, but they weren't a style I liked anyway. Been downloading some good old fashioned packs and they work fine. So I figure I can unpack the FMF files I have from last year that had all the logos I wanted... except the Resource Archiver for FM12 (which I just downloaded yesterday) doesn't work on the FM11 FMFs. So rather than downloading another FM11 FMF logo superback that would take 2-3 GBs anyway, I'm redownloading FM11 so I can use the Resource Achiver to unpack those FMFs, then move them and probably repack them with the new Resource Archiver.
Someday, I'm going to be able to play a new version of FM without having to dedicate 20 hours to getting to look like I want it to...
Oh, and I did find a Real Competitions Inc file on sortitoutsi. Would just like to find some edit files to open up the lower division of Germany and maybe Holland.
Ba scores twice, Cabaye gets one and Newcastle absolutely control the game! What a start to the season.
We lost to Barca in the friendly, fielding my full strength team. Only 2-1 though, and I felt we played reasonably well. They didn't play Messi, but Villa, Xavi and Iniesta were all playing
Interestingly enough at the end of November Steve Round unexpectedly left for Sunderland after David Moyes took over for the sacked Steve Bruce. I'm now in search for a new ass man. I must have missed a notification or something saying he had an offer.
At December 1 right now, sitting 8th in the table with 19 points from 13 games. 5 wins, 4 draws, 4 losses. We have the 3rd best defensive record in the league right now, having conceded just 11 goals, but our goalscoring is rather impotent with just 18 in 13 games. Saha has spent more time at the physio than on the pitch, appearing in just 7 matches, scoring 4 goals, 3 of which game against Villa.
I'm going to be in the market for a striker in January after selling Fellaini. Fellaini and I had a falling out after he called the team out for underachieving and the private chat did not go so well. He's been sold to Tottenham for £10m. I accepted offers from Arsenal, Porto, Inter, Sunderland, and Tottenham, but he elected Spurs.
The sale has left me with £3m to spend. Not exactly a huge sum to go after a good striker.
Injury wise, we've been hit fairly hard as well. Saha obviously is in and out, Bilyaledtinov has missed the last 6 games, and is expected to be out until around January with torn knee ligaments. Phil Neville is out 3-4 months with a torn calf muscle as well.
Cup wise, we're all the way through the Semi-Final where we're going to be up against Man U.
Signed Everton icon Dave Watson from Wigan to be my new assistant manager.
Transfer-wise, Darron Gibson is joining in January to replace Fellaini for £1.4m.
I had a bid accepted from Juventus for Amauri, who was transfer listed for £425k, but his wage demands were way too high for me, so I had to back out. I've got no other realistic targets at the position quite yet. I need to see what I'm going to get for a transfer budget in January before I can make some real considerations.
Though, it seems that the most likely result is going to be bringing a striker in on loan rather than by purchase.
What kind of player are you looking for and what club? Sebastian Toro isn't too expensive but he's not going to be a regular for a Prem club from the start, even if he could get a work permit.
