Colo is out for 6 months after getting hurt with Argentina. Fuck
EDIT - and he has now come out and said he will retire at the end of the year because of persistent injuries. His injury history consists of a strained neck (8 days), a dead leg (1 day) and now this damaged spine (my physios are now saying 2 months instead of 6)
Hopefully he will want to join the staffComment

Just finished my first season in the Bundesliga, did alright. Was actually at 40 points in late March, then ran off seven straight losses, including an ET loss at Leverkusen in the German Cup semis, picked up one win from that point on. At that point as well I had the third most goals scored and third most conceded. Did all I could to fix up the defense, but they just weren't good enough. Hopefully I can get some money in the summer, but that's unlikely.
I'm happy enough with my squad, at leas the attack. Schindler and Periera are decent, but a little inconsistent, Hennings is a good option off the bench. Finks and Kruse had the season of their careers, and Funk was again a key part. Losing Boll means I need another defensive mid, and looking for a new centerback, two new fullbacks and a keeper.
Also, Mongengblach were in the relegation playoff last season and were first for most of this season. Would have been a great story to see them win.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

They got off to the worst possible start and just kind of stayed there. It was almost impossible to get relegated with them and Bochum in the league.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

The Bundesliga often seems to have a bigger club really struggle or actually go down. Hamburg were relegated in the Ajax game I played through, which I guess mirrors reality a bit.
Koln also seems to do really well for the first 2-3 season, finishing in the top 5 consistently and often the top 3. They drop once their starting manager leaves.Comment

I've definitely gone with the approach of trying to outscore everyone with my Blackpool side. I'm diggin' the tactic I worked on. Nice to use my own for a change. Generating a lot of clear cut chances, and we're absolutely deadly on the counter attack. We do very little crossing, and I don't allow much creative freedom. My wingers are inside forwards.
May not challenge for Europe just yet, but we should be able to avoid relegation, finish mid-table, and certainly play some attractive football.Comment
