It's starting to look up, thankfully the save is remaining interesting, as the problem I usually have with this game is losing interest with my club. I'm 1 point off the lead with 3 remaining, all against clubs in the bottom 7 of the league. If I win, it's looking like I will resign and wait for a larger club to approach me, as the Monaco team continually operates at a loss of about 5 million a month, needing Chairman injections 3-4 times a season. I can't imagine they'll hold up, financially, for more than a season or two more and I need to be gone before that.

Getting drunk on Shandy as I enter the end the last two matches, this could end poorly.

Won Ligue 1 by 1 point, goddamn. Started the season 5-5-6 in Ligue 1, finished 21-3-1.

After the boardroom only offered me 21 million and 1.4 million in wages after a L1 win, I had to resign, unacceptable for this stature. Applying at Chelsea and Arsenal.

Picked up at Arsenal, signed Dede and Asamoah on 45 million euro fees. This was after I opened 155 million in budget selling off Mikhityrian for 49 million euros and Griezmann for 36 million euros. Also brought in an aging Arjen Robben on season loan as a rotation player.

Nov 2017. Bayern approached me (sitting 8th in the Bundesliga right now) and offered me £20m transfer and £73k a week for myself. I said no. So they went and hired Conte away from Manchester United.

United just came to me and offered a £98 million(!) transfer kitty and £90k/week wages. They are currently 7th, 5 points back of me in second having played a game more. I think I am going to decline, but hot damn that is a fucking good offer.

Squad is ageing (Rooney, Vidic, Baines, Fletcher are all regulars over 30) but they do have Neymar, Thiago, Shaqiri and Kagawa so I'd have a decent squad.

Think I'm finally putting my long term save to bed. At this point I'm just buying all the best players in the world and it's getting rather boring. (Might go back to it and take up a small club to see how it goes at a later date) Made it to the year 2022, wound up managing Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Cameroon. Won something like 6 Champions League titles, a Europa League, and an Africa Cup of Nations (too many league and cup titles to even mention).

Started a new save with Anderlecht. Should be fun, they've got a lot of talented youngsters like Bruno, Praet, Najar, and Heylen. I'm in November right now, having made it to the Champions League group stage, I'm just trying to hold on and make it to the Europa League. (Drew Bayern, Shaktar, and Maribor in my group) Mbokani is a stud, 11 in 12 so far.

Kind of got the shaft on the last day of the transfer window. I had no money to spend so I wasn't even looking to bring anyone in, then on the last day of the window with no prior warning, Benefica match Biglia's 7 million buyout clause and I was left scrambling to find a replacement. Used the 7 million (of which I only got 4 to spend) to Sascha Horvath and Bernard Malanda. Horvath will be one for the future but Malanda slots right in. After watching the Spain-Norway U21 match I took a punt on Stefan Strandberg for 400k and have him coming in Jan to add some defensive cover (although he'll probably slot right into my ball playing defender role), despite the fact that he had a really bad match against Spain.

Edit- And now out of the blue the board have given me 4 million more for transfers. Doubt I really spend it though unless I find a keeper or Kara wants to move from Genk.

Started a Stoke save, will be my long term for now.

Did a double in the first season, winning the Capitol One Cup (1-0 vs. Manchester United) and the FA Cup (3-2 vs. Arsenal). Finished 4th overall in the table to qualify for the Champions League

Only transfers were Tom Ince in for £11m from Blackpool, Erik Pieters in for £7m from PSV and Gabby Agbonlahor for £3m from Villa. Also brought in Eduardo on loan from Shakthar. Sold were: Begovic to Udinese for £10m, Peter Crouch to Monaco for £3m, and Kenwyne Jones to Fulham for £5m.

Getting bored of my current save, it's starting to become a chore. I'm looking for a lower division English team with a decent rep to take to glory, Coventry and Sheffield United have caught my eye, any other suggestions? Looking for a challenge but I don't wanna manage a pure Blue Square shitter as this will more than likely be my last save of 13 and 14 isn't that far away.

2013/2014 saw a massive achievement for my Stoke City side, as we managed to come away with a Champions League victory -- my first ever on FM. We faltered a bit domestically, once again finishing in 4th place and were eliminated in both cups and actually finished with 1 fewer point than last season despite losing 1 fewer game. Lots of draws.

Transfer wise we made a few signings, but still maintained most of the core. In were: Christian Benteke from Villa for £16m, Giacomo Bonaventura from Atalanta for £4.5m, Andy King from Leicester for £5.25m, Federico Casarini from Bologna for £6.25m, and Maicon from City for just £275k. Outgoing were: Charlie Adam to Real Sociedad for £9.5m, Glenn Whelan to Everton for £2.9m, Cameron Jerome to Villa for £3.7m, Wilson Palacios to Fulham for £2.5m, and Michael Kightly to Wigan for £500k.

                          Well, this is alarming.

It's November of 2014/2015 and we've made a undefeated start to the season, with 9 wins and 4 draws, tied with Man U at the top of the table, and are set to progress through the group stage of the CL after winning it last season, yet Ryan Shawcross had handed in a transfer request.

His reason is that I've failed to increase the club's standing in the game as promised. This is a crock of shit. The only promise I had made to him to get him to stay a season ago when he was making noise about moving to a bigger club was a promise to qualify for the CL. We won the damn thing, and we've obviously qualified for this year. I'm not sure what else he wants.

Anyway, his current valuation is £16.75m. There's no way I want to let him go for that little. I'll be rejecting his request, but I may have to seriously consider selling him. Blegh. This is the worst. He's been an absolute rock throughout my Stoke save, and in the PL campaign this year he has an 8.20 average rating, 7.75 in CL.

I'm fairly confident that I could replace him as I had brought in Sandro, who's paired with N'Zonzi playing in front of the back four, making us an absolute watertight defense, conceding only 8 so far in the league, but it really sucks that he wants to go. Really wanted to make him a lifer/club legend at Stoke.

Convinced Shawcross to stay, but lost Tom Ince to Man U for £24m in the January window.

I had signed Milner from City for a mere £1m, so when United came calling with a £24m offer, I took it as we have plenty of depth at wing between Shea, Milner, Bonaventura, and Walters, and with no money left to spend having splurged on Sandro and Sturridge in the summer window it made sense. I used the available transfer funds from the Ince transfer to bring Kyle Walker in from Spurs for £16m to fill the hole at right back. Shotton had done a fair job in the role, but I see him more as a rotation player than a starter.

Anyway, as of February 2nd we remain undefeated in the Premier League, sitting first in the table with 18 wins and 6 draws, putting us 5 points clear of Arsenal, with a game in hand. In Champions League action we're through the group stages and into the first knockout round, matched up against Porto. We won the Club World Championship against Internacional and the UEFA Super Cup against Dortmund earlier in the year. We've been eliminated from both domestic cups, unsurprisingly as I've put pretty much all rotated/reserve squads out there.

In addition to Stoke I've taken over as manager of Ireland since their elimination from the World Cup Quarterfinals (a surprising run for them since they emerged from a group featuring Germany, USA, and the Ivory Coast, and saw them defeat Uruguay in the 2nd round before losing out to Brazil). As Ireland manager I've recorded 5 wins and a draw, 2-2 against Georgia, 3-1 friendly win over Montenegro, 1-0 friendly win over England, and 2-0, 2-1, 2-0 wins in European Championship Qualifiers against Moldova, Denmark, and Austria. We're currently ranked 10th in the world. I have a full fixture list scheduled for 2015: friendlies against United States, Turkey, Japan, Greece, and Italy, the 4 nations cup with Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland, and Euro qualifiers 2x Lithuania, Moldova, Denmark, and Austria.

Andddd finally recorded our first defeat of the season on February 7th 2-1 at Anfield.

Followed it with a 3-1 loss at Old Trafford, dropping us into a tie with Arsenal with 11 games to go. We're clear of 3rd place Man U and Liverpool by 10 points.
