Gamestop Messing Up Orders

Hey,

Has anyone else had gamestop mess up an online order? I pre-ordered MLB 2K10 on January 8, 2010 and I just checked online and it said that it is on backorder. What the fuck?!?

What don't they mess up? They are constantly "guaranteeing" people pre-order bonuses only to "run out" the day of release. And then they blame it on the developer or someone else for not giving them enough codes.

I didn't even get a bonus. I chose the free shipping which gives me 5-10 days to get the game. But I mean come on, it should have been shipped today.

The only time I preordered was on NHL10 because you got some equipment early for doing it. I threw 5 bucks down on it and got the little card.

I still was in line at 10am and was the second person to pick the game up.

I don't think I've ever been told that they've completly sold out of a game on release day.

He went to GS the day after release (too busy to go the day of) and they told him they were sold out. He responded with "But I pre-ordered." lol yah. Preorder just means you paid for it already but failed to show up and pick it up. They already got your money and you've waited this long... why not wait a few more days. Its not like your getting your money back at this point.

I hate game stores. While I'm sitting here waiting for Bad Company 2 to finish downloading through steam I think of the days when I'd have to get up, drive across the city go into the store with all the nerds and get the game. Usually end up wasting more money on the way home due to buying food or drinks and then have to worry about the stupid disc forever.

Gamestop just sucks. Because if you want to regularly buy a game at some Gamestop stores they wont even have enough copies. They only get enough copies for people who reserved the game and they mess up on that half the time anyway.
