Is this game worth buying a PS3?

Yeah, it's one unit.

When I setup the PS3, I didn't touch the settings, although, they were at 480 originally.




It said it can play at 1080, but it's on 480 now, and it's really fuzzy.

that looks exactly like my TV...mine is a hitachi though and a 57 inch....u said u had toshiba. if that is your tv and is a hitachi i know it supports 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i....no 1080p but thats ok cause most games play at 720p

those crappy cables your got with the ps3 wont look any better....you have to get component or hdmi cables. Also, my TV hdmi port sucks ass. i was using hdmi for the ps3 and i would get screen shifts and color blur while using anything i had hooked thru hdmi (360, ps3 or cable box)....hopefully yours doesnt have that problem with hdmi

ok, so you need to buy component (red, white, green, blue and red) or an hdmi cable.

you need to go into the ps3 settings and tell the ps3 the different resolutions your TV will support....check all boxes that apply.

When u get that cable its going to look 100 times better.

sidenote....the ps3 is kind of tricky to switch cables. when you switch resolutions it does this thing where the TV will be totally black. there is a way to do it so you can see what your doing

people here know how, i dont and had to do it the hard way.

my tv was using an hdmi for the ps3...then i switched to component and the screen went black so i couldnt tell the ps3 that i was using a new cable.

lucky for me i kept my hdmi plugged in and also the new component cable at the same time. I just switched my input selection on my tv so i could see the hdmi input, then tell the ps3 i was using component

here i found this for you.....when u switch the cables, the screen will go black....here is how to work around this

Have you tried this?

1 - Turn on TV and set input to port being used.
2 - Make sure PS3 is connected via correct cable.
3 - Power on PS3 via power button and HOLD IT for 5 seconds (release after the second beep). It should automatically configure your PS3 to the TV's native resolution for all settings.

again, after your do this, make sure you goto the sytem settings and look for the video option to tell the ps3 the resolutions your tv supports

I hated baseball... thought I always would, when My friend got a PS3 he had the Show 07... I played it and was instantly hooked, I like baseball now, and love this game, so if you already like baseball your in fucking heaven. I sold my first PS3 and got a 360 Elite etc...Played 2K for 6 hours and then sold it on craigslist, that game is hot garbage. I went out a week later and bought my 2nd PS3 and the Show.

yep. The cable you have isnt HD and will only support 480.
you wont be able to tell the ps3 the resolution your tv supports until you get the new cable

from the ps3 dash (XMB)
goto settings>>>Display Settings>>>Video Output Settings

then from here you will select the cable you have....since you only have composite, you dont get 720p and 1080i right now
