I didn't try. I assumed it wasn't connected because of the sound coming through the TV.

Make sure you set it as both your input and output device if you are using the PS3.

you need to make sure its actually connected... go to the default PS screen, go over to the system menu, go down to accesories, find the mic, connect it, and you should be golden...
