    Franchise Lineups Messed Up?

I'm playing through it, not a huge deal for me.

And if there are some that are really bad, well I'm playing while I control all 30 teams so I'll just change something if it is really out of place.

i started a chise...i am doing 30 controlled teams. I love this option because even with you controlling all 30 teams, you can still set everything to auto for the NO PROFILE teams. Then use your own profile for your own team.

the NO PROFILE teams use the global settings while your team uses your profile settings. you can change the global settings to manual when you need to switch a lineup or whatever.

the one thing i strongly advise is to have the global setting for trades set to manual. This will avoid the crazy trades. From what they say at OS that even with it set to manual that you still see trade offers, but nothing goes thru without your approval.

the last roster update still had guys out of place....like sizemore playing SS and Cabrera playing CF. Their positions were still listed like they should, like sizemore was still a CF but in the roster update they had them playing at the wrong positions

Play or sim Spring Training. (DON'T, I repeat DON'T select End Spring.)
Now, before ending the spring, go in and set your lineup/rotations for YOUR team, and any other team you don't want the CPU to make roster decisions for.....INCLUDING sending players down to the minors. Once you have all the teams you don't want the CPU making decisions for set, with ONLY 25 players on MLB, AAA, and AA respectively, then click END Spring Training. For the teams that you have the rosters set, the CPU won't make any roster moves.

The reason this is happening, is because each team has the ENTIRE 40 man roster available in Spring Training. Thus, every member of the 40 Man roster is listed as being ON the MLB team. When you click END SPRING TRAINING, the CPU is sending players down, to get to the 25 man roster limit. In doing so, it is jumbling your lineups. The way to get around this (Its not really getting around it, because, in real life, MLB teams have to get down to a 25 man roster BEFORE the season starts, the CPU is just doing this for manually controlled teams that don't trim their roster) is to set your rosters, and make your cuts, and send downs BEFORE ending Spring Training.

When you think about it, it makes sense, as it mirrors the real MLB yet again.

If they ever do release a patch, it won't be out until sometime in April at the earliest.

fyi with the 30 man controlled franchise i mentioned above.....i simmed thru spring trainging playing some innings here and there. when i got to the end of ST i selected the end ST option.

there were some lineup issues, but nothing to drastic. But since i control all 30 teams and even though i have 29 of them set to AUTO, i can still edit the line ups (and everything else too)

anyways, i changed the lineups and simmed the next month to see whats what and the line up changes i made stayed in place

just a note about the DL and roster pots from the 09 game. the devs DID fix this for 10.
guys on the 15 day DL will stay on your 25 man roster and 40 man roster....you cant bring anyone up to replace them (not sure if this is the correct rule or not)

but the 60 day DL....those players can be removed from the 40 man roster. They will stay on your MLB roster...BUT, they dont count as your 25 man roster.....u can bring someone up to fill the spots. for every guy on the 60 day DL you can add a player to your 25 man roster to replace them.

in my 30 team franchise the AUTO controlled CPU teams made the changes as needed
