Nah I've been in OS forums (under the profile "Dan Marino") and it has been confirmed several Gamestops in Ohio have broken the street date WITH PROOF. Crazy, I know. I just wish some of us poor bastards in other states could get so lucky...

nah, i didnt get madden last year either. just rental. I bought ncaa last year and then the kids scratched it and it was dead.....no way i was buying a 2nd copy

true true, but the article i read was on the os front page. Guy seemed pretty jaded towards the game, and i found out stuff i didn't know,(Auto turbo, game speed slower). Thought it wasn't too bad a read

Yeah, threads like this are terrible at OS. Instead of a 20-50 page thread with people saying the area where they got the game early at. It's hundreds of people posting "Anyone have the game yet in New York City?" If there's any real info to be had you can't find it. Do these people really think guys with the game early are going to take their time to browse a 1000 post thread and then contact everyone in their area to let them know where to get the game? Fuck no! They're playing the damn game.

the OS review is acting like its the 2nd coming. the guy mentions right away how he has basically hated the game since last gen and now this one is the best football game on this gen.

he has been playing since late june so he has had plenty of time to access the game. The only thing that bugs me is he mentions how 3 EA devs approached him at some event and gave him extended time on an earlier build. Makes it sound like they went out of their way to buddy up to him and now he is returning the favor. Maybe thats just the cynic in me, but EA is pretty buddy buddy with OS and what better way to make a hater into a buddy then to give them access and send them early copies.

with that said the guy did give it an extremely favorable review and i hope he is being honest

During the review, he mentions being at the community event.
That pretty much equals blowjob review.
OS is doing everything in its power to stay on EA's good side.
I trust OS reviews as much as I trust Kim Il-Jong.
I suspect half the guys who review games rarely play them (Chris and SlieezyC come to mind).
The OS guys want a full-fledged relationship with EA. I defy you to find a review grade under 7 for the past two years worth of games.

OS is the FOX News for videogame sports reporting. Hell, their forums are stricter than EA's.

adembroski is a good guy, but he's typical of guys who attend these events.
The second he goes, any criticism of EA Sports is eliminated.

When I get the game, I'll be ordering direct from an EA employee, and getting it at discount. So I have to wait for the game to come out.
