Hideo Kojima Twitter Controversy
Wrote Kojima along with this pic: "It's raining, so I'll have lunch inside Midtown." (Tokyo Midtown is the location of Konami's headquarters.)
Is this supposed to be some sort of tease for next week's Tokyo Game Show?
Unfortunately, no. Kojima had actually wanted to upload a picture of his lunch, something he does quite often (too often, some would say).
Quickly following the post, follower JinJin0613 alerted Kojima to the girl's pic, saying "Isn't the link a bit strange?"
Kojima replied to JinJin0613: "Oh wow, really! In the thumbnail, my lunch appears. But open it and it's a girl! Do you know who it is?"
In a later Tweet, Kojima joked "Is it terrorism? Or a virus?"
Worried that a child be viewing the Twitter feed, Kojima deleted the Tweet. However, he left the photo on Yfrog, as he wants the folks at Yfrog to be able to investigate what went wrong.
Of course, the big question is what did Hideo Kojima really have for lunch today? After the fuss over the pic had ended, he posted this shot, assuring his followers that it wasn't another girl:

Twiggles,
Link: ‘MGS4 trophy patch is finally coming
This has been rumoured, talked about, hinted by Kojima, delayed by Konami, and complained about by fans, an infinite number of times since trophies arrived on the PS3.
Now though, 2008′s Metal Gear Solid 4 will finally be receiving a trophy patch.
In an interview with Japanese publication Famitsu, creator Hideo Kojima confirmed the news. The game will be getting a budget re-release in Japan on August 30th to coincide with the series’ 25th anniversary. That version will carry trophy support out of the box, but existing owners will be able to update their games too.
Expect news in the coming days on worldwide launch details for both the new MGS4 disc and the patch.

new version will also include the ability to fully install the game. no more having to sit through those endless loading screens at the start of new chapters.
Fans of Metal Gear Solid 4 remember one thing very, very well: Snake enjoying a cigarette for anywhere from one to eight minutes while the chapter data was installing. Fortunately, new players and those picking up the re-release of the game won't have to take quite so many smoke breaks. According to Konami's website, the upcoming re-release will feature an option for a full install of all the textures and data needed to play the game. It's not clear how long this install will take and players don't need to use the option if they prefer the old way of doing things.
It's not known whether this will also be included with the trophy patch we reported on earlier. Nonetheless for new players, and old players who've cleared out their installs to make room for new games, it's a welcome option.Comment

It's not MGS4 unless you periodically take a smoke break with Old Snake.Comment
