Just decided to play MGS4 after it has been sitting around forever. Either the game is old by today's standards, or I'm not a fan of MGS anymore.....I think it sucks. Slow and boring.

None of the MGS games are fast paced.

But I'll admit, if I'm going to sit down and start any of the games, I'll need to be in the mood for a drawn out, long story.

I don't mind slower paced games like the Splinter Cells and other MGSs, but for some reason this game just comes off bland. I particularly think the controls blow. I recently caught up with, and finished AC2, AC:B, Uncharted 2 and this compared to those is crap. Admittedly, I found MGS3 (the one with Raiden and oil platform) to get kinda lame halfway through it. Of course the story lines are fiction, but they have just gotten so ridiculous I feel like Kojima is grasping. IMO, Metal Gear Solid on PS1 should have been the last one, that game was awesome. Loved the little tricks you had to do to beat guys and such (like plug controller into port 2 so Psycho Mantis couldn't read your moves).

Just realized it comes out next week. There are way too many other games I have more interest in right now. I'm balls deep in Dead Space 3 right now and Tomb Raider is right around the corner.
