How is this been doing? I didn't even waste my time trying when I first got the game because of all I was hearing about it. Have they released the patch or anything yet? How is 5-on-5?

For 1 v 1 games I haven't been disconected for a long time, and its easier to connect initially than it was at launch.

As for 5 v 5 right now 2K has stated that if you keep your mics off in the lobby and wait until the actual game starts that there won't be any lag. I haven't tried that yet though.

So do they have a way that you can actually play one of your buddies or is it still just random every time?

You can play buddies in unranked games, not ranked.

1v1 is smooth as butter for me.
