No, you don't. They aren't RTS'. They are turn based strategy games. More specifically, they are big turn based board games that you can play against other people or the computer.

As for why you don't like them, I can't speak to that. But it sounds like you never played any of them.

Ok, so they aren't about building structures, units and ultimately trying to develop a civilization to take over the world?

If not, then I must be thinking about something else.

You realize that building structures, units and trying to develop a civilization isn't exactly the same as an RTS, right?

Of course you don't, because I doubt you've ever played an RTS.

Yes, those are parts of a Civ game, but again, a Civ game is easily made to work with a console. What is your basis that it doesn't work?

Yes, I'm aware. I misspoke. But it's not like they are that different. Get off your high horse. The only thing different is that one is real time and the other is much slower paced and works in turns. They are still much better done on a PC because of the placing of objects (moving a cursor all the way across the map with a controller vs just clicking with a mouse) and handling all your resources in myriad menus.

The only ones I've played recently are Halo Wars and End War and they were both very cumbersome. The other was Total War (I think that's what it was called?) on a buddies laptop when we work the desk together. He does most of the playing but I still know how it works.

High horse? What? There is a HUGE difference between real time and turn based, and you acting like there isn't just gives more credence to my point.

Of course a mouse and keyboard is ideal for most gaming (weird to hear you say that) but my point only ever was that a Civ game is easily played with a controller. You said it wasn't, and your reasoning still doesn't make any sense. Even more so after you tried to say that turn based strategy is the same as real time. No high horse here, just not understanding your logic.

I had no idea that there were TWO, let alone one, DLC for KoA. I thought they scrapped all of the DLC when the studio started having all their issues.

I guess I'll get it while the gettin's good.

I might get Crysis but shit, why isn't it 50% off?

And, you're telling me that online co-op is dead in Army of Two? Swarley will not be pleased.
