There have been a few instances where I get killed by a grenade blowing up when I'm not too close to it and with full shields.

frags dont bother me. They seem spot on to me. If one blows up with you right on it your dead. but if your away from its radius then you just take damage. They are also pretty easy to evade

I don't usually use a mic unless I'm in a party with friends because there's a ridiculous amount of annoying people that I don't feel like listening to.

thats a good point, but i like the change of pace. everything is so fast paced and action packed that a little swat slow down is welcome for me.

one mode i dont enjoy is slayer sniper. That just seems silly to me.

while on the subject, can anyone give me an idea of what some of these variations mean?
like slayer pro, slayer elite and so on.

lol...i noticed that too. really surprised by it. But i dont mind cause i am always with 4-8 people and the other team has like 1 guy with a mic....we win and i bet its cause those guys dont talk.

also to my surprise is the lack of halo screaming i always heard about. Only once so far have i been in a lobby with a retard
