So after next year the exclusive rights deal EA has with NFL will be over. Do you think another company is going to come in and hopefully give EA some competition? The real reason why their games have been such shit is because they havent had any competition in awhile.

Im not interested in any of them, including a 2K version. Developing a game from scratch for a next gen console isn't something that can be done instantly, as AP2K8 and Madden 06 showed. If SCEA makes one that has had as much work put into it as the Show franchise then I will consider.

Huh? All-Pro did what Madden should have done and kept that base engine from 2K5, and made changes where they needed to. It wasn't made from scratch. Just like the NBA 2K series was not made from scratch.

All-Pro was an excellent football game that lacked any real mode, and deeper rosters and customization.

Wait, so is the contract up in 2011/Madden 12 or 2012/Madden 13? Ive always heard 2012 and assumed that it was the year 2012 not the game.

I'm interested to see what happens with this, big time.

If EA locks it up again, I think I'm done. I can't imagine trying to make the already shitty consumer - EA relationship work for another 4 or 5 years.
