I was fine with the boosts I earned and didn't have to buy anything to compete. Sure in '11 it will be the same. I'd never give them any more of my money for this stuff.Comment

It took me about a month to get some of the plus 5 boosts and good ones to like slap and wrist shot things. Never bought a thing and if you look at my player stats now, I have 95 in wrist/slap power and accuracy, speed, acceleration and something else. Boost do shit also if you don't know how to actually play.All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

When playing EASHL for the first month, you simply play better defence. You blue liners can't be cheating up as much and you have to keep back. So if people have the speed bought up, they can't blow by you with it. Other then that, shot power and all that shit can help, but you still have to get open. i bought boosts, got a PS Store certificate as a gift, these micro transacations are killin it all over the internet. it's an awful way to nickel and dime tho
and i'd sure be pissed if i bought a used version of NHL 11 and had to pay another 10 bucks to play online
