I'd keep the sign-ups and just be selective on who gets in...

I wouldn't let it get any bigger then 16, when we get 32 it turns into something that drags out. Besides it usually comes down to same final 4/8 people that have a legit shot at winning it every time.

Or it could be because the game is not fun and people stop playing it a few weeks later.

For instance, averaging 1.2 yard/carry with the Bears the past two years was not fun at all.

I'm a hypocrite when I say this (see the VSNCS Tourney) but people need to show up to make this work.

Don't sign up if you aren't going to at least play, at minimum, 2 games a night.
