Just got done my first online game vs. windy city (gg), I won 14-0.
The settings windy challenged me with were:
5 min quarters
All-Madden
Acc. Clock on
Game speed normal? That part I couldn't see but I assume it was normal.
The game felt very jittery to me, especially compared to offline. It was more difficult to get the players to do what I wanted. Of course, this is nothing new with next gen Madden, so that's disappointing.
I still feel the ball travels way too fast out of the QB's hands to the receiver, it gives you hardly anytime to click on and make a play. This leads to guys being out of position when you click on. Again, the game being jittery does not help this.
I hate that they changed the Swat button to L1. X was so much better, and EA doesn't let you change it.
The game felt rushed especially with the accelerated clock on, that's something we shouldn't use (IMO), unless guys like to play with 8 or 9 min quarters. I would just prefer you to challenge me with it off and just use 5 or 6 minute quarters.
It was only 1 game, but this game feels a lot like last year but slightly faster game speed. If the game wasn't so jittery, it could be OK, but I didn't really enjoy myself while playing that game. That has nothing to do with Windy, but the fact that Madden next gen just isn't fun (again, IMO).
Bottom line, playing Madden next gen still feels like a chore and doesn't come close to having the fun factor of other online sports games (MLB: The Show, Fifa 2010 World Cup).
