    Aren't they using like 700 pages of script? There were apparently 400 in the first one.

        Apparently, the issues are with actual gameplay length. According to Kotaku, Mafia II is Metal Gear-esque in the cutscene vs. gameplay department.

            Just read the Kotaku review... hmmm there's a few things worried a bit. The cutscene vs. gameplay is a big disturbing, I may try the rental route.

                    IGN gives it a 7.0 rating. Not good considering that the two Godfather games got a 7.9 and 7.7, respectively.

                        considering how inflated IGN's ratings are....blah.

                        definitely has went from a "must buy" to a "i'll rent it if I see it in" based on all these reviews

                            That just means 2K didn't give IGN enough money.

                            By the way, does anyone know if the PS2 version of Mafia is at least decent. I know the best version is the PC version but I don't play games on PC. I've heard the Xbox version is decent but of course it's not backwards compatible. That leaves me with one option.

                                            Helicopter20 has it. He was playing it on PS3 last night. He said it's pretty good but not as good as say, GTA4.

                                                    gamespot game it an 8.5 Ign gave it a 7

                                                    i watched the gamespot video review and it seemed like the game was cool enough, but had to many pointless missions. Those wonderful drive for 10 minutes, do something dumb, then its over type missions. They also said there arent any side missions. Its all the main story and thats it. Like having the open world didnt really mean anything cause there wasnt anything to do in it
