Kicking

When there is lag it is very difficult to make a kick. The lag is also inconsistent. I swear at the beginning of the game I have to press X a second early and then later in the game I'll do the same thing and there will no longer be lag and now I kicked the ball before I needed to with now little accuracy and power.Comment

just played Rudi and missed two XP because of this BS, i was able to make most of my kicks. One time the above like i mentioned happened. The other time I hit x a few spots early like you need to and the screen froze, then my icon reappeared all the way to the left and it landed there wtf.Comment

Ive Seen times where ill hit X the second time. it will stop then magically move forward a bit more. smh. why they changed kicking from the stick. the world may never know.Comment

The problem is lag basically.
EA had the same type of meter back in the PS2 days (before switching to the Right Stick) but it went in a half circle instead of a straight line.
Now the meter looks like the one you'd use in Hot Shots Golf.Comment

I just mash the X button when it gets close to coming back in the accuracy zone. It might not stop where I want it to, but at least it stops, lol.
And I never had a problem with the meter on PS2 ... not sure how the lag got worse over the years, but it is what it is.Comment

The new kicking meter has cost me two games so far. On AM, you would have to be The Flash to be quick enough to make a FG or extra point.Comment

Yup. Most of the time I just hit it a bit early and I'm good. But at least onnce, while playing Jay Dizzle, it lagged just as I was hitting the fucking button so of course the button press didn't register AT ALL. The meter just went as far left as possible and of course I shanked a FG that would've tied up the game at the time.
You know what else is awesome? In that same game there was a fumble by Forte. My guy jumped on it first and one of his guys jumped on it right after. Usually I sleep on the 'fight for the fumble' but I was prepared. But guess what? The fucking score overlay never disappeared so I couldn't see what button I was supposed to press. Jay ends up winning somehow by pure luck. So much for that drive and I was on his 30yd line or something.Comment

That lag doesn't exist on the 360.
I feel bad for the ps3 guys.
It shouldn't exist at all.My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Really? Because the camera angle changed and everything and it stayed on the players for a good 30 seconds just like it would furing FFTF. I've seen other fumbles online where it was just awarded to one of the teams automatically.Comment

weve played a ton of OTP and ive played about 5 1on1 games, ive never saw the classic fight for the fumble minigame. The screen pans to the pile and it stays there while everyone is jostling for the ball, but it takes no input from the players.Comment
