Mass Effect 2 coming to PS3

I guess for a while Gears, Halo, Forza, Left 4 Dead, and Mass Effect held enough weight in my mind that it wasn't completely obvious that PS3 had the clear advantage. Now it is lol.

Two of the three best games of the year imo were 360 exclusives (ME2 and Alan Wake). Yes, and before someone points out that ME2 isnt really an exclusive anymore, it wont even be out in 2010.

I never really understood how people thought the PS3 has better exclusives.

Ps3 has less games to avg. If you take just the top 18 to make it an even number of games, 360 avg is 87.9.

ehh there singleplayer games are getting quite good but sony has not been able to get one multiplayer cash cow everyone ive bought has only lasted about a month or 2 before it turns into a hassle of joining a game

The Uncharted 2 community is still big, which reminds me that I need to jump back on.

I think Warhawk and SOCOM are still huge as well but no one here plays them. MAG too.

Not that communities really mean jack anyway. TONS of people still play MW2 and Gears 2 and the multiplayer in both of those games is so fucking jacked. More so with Gears 2. I've heard nothing but horrible things about the multiplayer in that game and how broken it is.

The thing that I've noticed is that it seems like there are a lot more hardcore multiplayer guys on the Xbox and it's been that way since Xbox 1. You give those guys a great first game (Halo, Gears), they will follow with undying devotion until the end. That could be a good or bad thing. Halo Reach could have the worst multiplayer on Earth (although I highly doubt it) but I guarantee you Xbox heads will play it for the next three years solid.

It all comes down to opinion though.

I really liked AW but it was one of the most repetitive games I've ever played. Like Wombat from CAG said, "They could've just called it Run Through the Woods with a Flashlight". Because of that fact alone I don't think it deserves to be in GotY talks. I can't really comment on ME2 because I've only played the demo and couldn't get into it.

On the PS3 side it could easily be said that Heavy Rain and GoW3 are GotY contenders, although HR is quite a polarizing game.

i miss the uncharted community but that multiplayer lobby takes a good 10-15 minutes to get in most times with gears or halo its about 3-4 minutes tops

Really? I don't remember it ever taking more than a couple minutes. I have had problems initially logging into MP before where it just hangs while loading but I've never waited in the lobby that long.

I want to try that horde type mode they put in a few months ago. I bought the pack but don't think I've tried it yet.

That's cuz stevsta is a fanboy. It takes less than 5 minutes to hop into a game on Uncharted 2.
