      Doing this now.

Level 9 Vanguard with extra Armor-Piercing Ammo I cribbed from Garrus for this playthrough.

When I was playing on Normal, I was gattin' people down and never ran out of ammo.

Now? I'm scraping through parts of the levels I've already cleared just to get a few more bullets for my shitty Shuriken Machine Pistol.

The best part so far was when I was pinned down behind a Krogan Clone tank in the last part of Grunt's recruitment mission...

I brought Jack and Kasumi with me (I didn't do either Loyalty mission yet) seeing as Jack and I could double-team our Pull and Shockwave abilities.

Kasumi provided VALUABLE her Overload and Shadow Strike skills.

After I went through wave after wave of Blue Suns cronies, I got to the last area with the damn YMIR mech, a shit-ton of Clone Krogans and that stupid female Blue Suns boss that started all the mess on the planet.

After my last encounter with a pack of YMIRs trying to recruit Jack, I decided that the best thing to do was to tell Kasumi to Overload it's shields first while I shot the damn thing up with my Incendiary Ammo.

Jack just patiently plinked away at anyone else until I helped her every so often due to Krogans showing up uninvited...

It ended up with either Kasumi or Jack finally killing the Blue Suns merc boss off to the side while I was trapped behind a Krogan Clone tank trying not to get blown up or shredded to pieces with its chaingun.

I switched weapons when it got half-way down to just it's yellow Armor bar and shot that motherfucker in the face with some Armor Piercing rounds until it finally blew up.

I've got my own Zaeed story now... minus the everybody dying part.

Took me 3 tries to figure out that strategy and all I got was a dead scientist and a lousy paperweight in my ship's cargo hold now. :D

Said paperweight is now bleeding from the mouth because the MFer wouldn't put me down after I "asked nicely."

Luckily I didn't just accidentally execute a crew member with a Renegade interrupt.

Mass Effect 2 'Arrival' DLC detailed by latest patch

The PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 has been patched, and in the process, has revealed details on an upcoming DLC pack called "Arrival." Featuring three new Trophies, the BioWare forums have been abuzz with theories on what the expansion will entail.

One of the Trophies, "Covert Action," refers to a Dr. Amanda Kenson, who was previously mentioned in a recent Cerberus Network update:
Historians and astronomers alike are abuzz tonight over a new paper published by Dr. Amanda Kenson of the University of Arcturus ... "Only a small fraction of the mass effect relays date back 50,000 years," she writes, "The majority are far older, indicating they were created by a species predating even the Protheans." ... What civilization could have spanned the galaxy for not thousands, but millions of years? If this were the case, we should have found mountains of evidence of their passing. Where is this species now?"
Some believe that "Arrival" can refer to the arrival of the Reapers, setting up events for the upcoming Mass Effect 3.

So I just played through the digital comic.

            I chose:
            Ash over Liara.
Save the Queen over Kill the Queen.
            Save Wrex over Kill Wrex.
            Save Ashley over Save Kaiden.
            Save Council over Sacrifice Council.
            Anderson over Udina.

            Are those the best decisions?

I don't think these have much of an impact in ME2 from my experience. Obviously, the people who died won't be there for their brief appearances in the game, but the story procedes pretty much the same way with or without them. I will say that some of these choices seem like they'll come in handy for ME3 though.

I think they are all very good. Keeping Wrex is really smart because he is a badass and has a big impact on the whole krogan race.

Saving the Queen won't have much of an impact on ME2 but it might be an important part of ME3.

Saving Ashley over Kaiden is great because Kaiden is probably the most boring character in the whole series.

Anderson over Udina is another great choice because Udina is a douche and Anderson is always on Shepard's side.

Picking to save the council or let them die seemed rather small in ME2. Saving them makes people believe that Shepard and the human race is willing to work with the rest of the races. While killing them leads some people to believe that Shepard puts humanity first.

As for the romance that is just a personal preference I guess.

This game seems so daunting. So many things to map to the controller and I don't seem like I have control over half the shit that is going on.

There was one situation so far that really ticked me off and it's something I hate in games. I was on the mission where you have to search the Frontier planet or whatever it;s called. Very early on. You meet up with Talia (?) and she tells you that there are looking for Veetor. Right before you get to him you get in this battle with a big mech. After the battle I start searching around the area because I want to try to find everything. I find some salvage and other stuff and then I see the room where the Talia chick seems to be hunched over an injured soldier. I figure if I talk to her it's going to trigger a cutscene and I might not be able to search the rest of the area. Instead of talking to her I go to the far back room, the only one I hadn't searched yet. I open the door and a long series of cutscenes triggers and next thing you know I'm back on the Normandy.

I know damn well there was at least some items in that room that I didn't get to search and now I guess I'll never know because I assume you can't go back there?

If you click on one of the sticks, it tells you which direction your objective is, so you would have known that the room w/ Tali wasn't it.

Now we have two active ME threads? Nice.

Anyways, I have a feeling saving the Rachni queen is going to pay off huge in ME3. There's a part in ME2 where an asari gives you a message from the queen herself. She seems ready and willing to do whatever she can to help Shepard against the reapers in the future. I feel sorry for the assholes who killed her.

Also if you choose Ashley in the 1st I challenge you to not bang anyone in the 2nd game...

Wait, what? So you're saying that since I chose Ashley in the digital comic, no e-sex for my Shep?

I think I'm going to reload my previous save and play through that whole mission again. I didn't like the decision I made with Veetor either because I pissed Talia off.

No, you can have all the e-sex you want with your Shep. But Ashley returns in ME3 as a permanent squad member and if you have her as your love interest in ME1 and don't have e-sex in ME2 (You'll look at her picture in your quarters and get yourself pumped before the Omega 4 Relay) You get "rewarded" in ME3 for staying faithful since she's with you for the whole game again.

                              And it's Tali damnit.

No you are still able to romance one of the squad members in ME2.
