[PS3] Bluetooth headset issue

Ok, so I have the official headset for PS3. Everything was great with it until yesterday. I was playing my cousin in Madden and started falling out of my ear so I grabbed it to readjust it. Right after that it sounded like shit. I can barely hear people anymore. The people I'm playing with say I sound fine though.

I don't get it. I can't see how I possibly could have damaged it as it's very well constructed and everything looks fine.

I even checked the voice levels from the XMB and it seems fine. I also plugged it back into the charger but still in-game everyone sounds like ass.

The exact same thing happened to mine about a week ago. Still no fix that I know of.

Yup. The only thing I haven't tried is deleting it from the PS3's setup and starting over.

I've tried Googling and nothing. I also posted this problem on the Playstation.com boards but no response yet.

Actually, I was playing madden. I wonder what the hell is going on. It really sucks playing OTP and not being able to talk to my teammates.

My MIC is all jacked up too. Seems like its paired but just flashes. I have it on full recharge right now to see wtf is going on.

WTF? It's seems far fetched but I wonder if it has something to do with the game? I mean, for one, I've never had a problem with it until now. And then in the middle of a Madden game it craps out for both of us? Plus it seems like such an isolated issue because I couldn't find jack about it when googling it. Maybe I should stick to Madden forums?

I also did delete it from the PS3 and re-paired it and it's still fucked.

By the way, how is OTP? I haven't tried it yet and it sounds pretty cool.

Ok if you have the official PS3 bluetooth and want to pair it just hold the power button until the circle starts flashing green. You don't need it on the charger.

It has to be something server side on madden. I was getting discon issues when this started too, and those are gone also.

Were your disconnects happening with about two minutes remaining in the game?
