I've always been comfortable with the d-pad. Now the strategy pad on the other hand...

Well I've been comfortable with that too.

Strategy pad takes too long and is unnecessary and utterly stupid. EA trying to fix what isn't broken I guess like they always do.

i'm cool with the strat pad being on ps3.

i got it memorized so I can fire through shit like it's an NES cheat code, much like with the old audible system.

It's alright considering that when I do play, I've got about less than a sec to decide if my defense is going to fail or not.

Nowadays, it's all "pass to the flats, watch as my defenders fall harmlessly to the dirt while my opponent runs for another TD."

And if I'm actually covering the flats, no amount of D-Pad assisted coverage is going to mean shit when I know that the other guy is playing EZ-Mode while mashing the Stiff-Arm button all damn game.

I'm starting to get used to it. More so on offense than on defense. I don't even think it'll be worth switching back when the patch drops, cause I'll be all fucked up then.

Strat Pad is fine now, but annoying when you're playing NCAA.

I'm moving back to the old style.

Don't mind it at all. Not that I ever really did, figured I would adjust to it with time which I did.

my thinking to stay with it is they will most likely do away with the old audible system sometime down the line anyway..........

and like mobb said, going back could really screw things up,.....

Im comfortable with it but Im still switching back. I still find myself pulling my DBs off when going to fast and generally getting mixed up every once in a while if I go to fast. I hope the old audible system is brought back as well. I hate that if I fuck up and accidentally audible, put my LBs all in zone/blitz or pull my DBs off the LOS then I cant just hit square R2 to reset it. You are pretty much fucked with this dumbass audible system.

Hot routes and D-line, yes. But the rest I still for some reason have to stop and read before pressing the d-pad in the direction I need. It is intuitive, but it's just not natural to me.

I can live with the strategy pad on offence, but it's just too damned slow to use on defence.

i guess on the Offensive side of the ball it is easier, since you can take some time to do things.

Defensively, its more challenging to Hot Route, worrying about it before the Offense snaps the ball.....
normally, i only HR 1 defender. occasionally, 2 defenders.......

i like to focus on shifting the Coverage, DBs, LBs and DL........

Defensive hot routing is a pain in the ass.
