[ALL] Duke Nukem Forever back on track

From the peeps that brought us Borderlands.
2K Games has made it official: Duke Nukem Forever is alive and, well, in the hands of developer Gearbox Software, confirming our earlier reports that the Borderlands studio was helping to complete the game's absurdly long development cycle.

If anyone can get this project done it's Gearbox. They are becoming one of my favorite developers. I actually loved Borderlands and Brother In Arms was pretty sweet despite being hard as fuck.

This definetly explains why Randy Pitchford was wearing a "Come get some!" t-shirt.

Yes, Gearbox Software really is turning the perpetual vaporware Duke Nukem Forever into a real live video game bound for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

The only way for this game to be back on track would include Doc Brown developing it

The Detox of gaming. A trailer will leak but it will be claimed to be unfinished and then the game will disappear for another year or two.

The only worry that I have is that I'm pretty sure most of Gearbox are former 3D Realms guys...who couldn't get the damn thing done before.

They should make it into a solid XBLA FPS. I just don't think the franchise has enough substance for this game to be worth a full retail price.

Duke Nukem has been around since forever. If anything has substance for it to be a full-retail price, given the wait, it's Duke Nukem Forever.

I was not aware of that.

                            How it all came about...

The revival of Duke Nukem Forever in Seattle at the Penny Arcade Expo may be the most stunning comeback story in video game history. In an interview with Kotaku, Randy Pitchford, the man instrumental in Duke's return, explained how Duke came back from the dead.
