If only Madden played as smoothly online as this game.
There is 0 difference between online and offline play with NHL 11.
Passing seems a lot harder this year.
Same with scoring.
Still getting used to using the 360 controller with NHL. I've been playing the game on the ps3 the last few years. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

Just had another buddy who plays on the PS3 talk to me about the game. He is sharing the same complaints in 1v1.
Outshot his opponent 28-15 with his toi 8:30 to 4:02 for the other guy. He lost 4-1.
He had a couple other games go the same way. I'm interested to see what my other couple buddies say once they get the game. Mainly the one guy who was top 1000 and top 500 for a few months in 1v1. He really didn't like NHL10 compared to NHL09 and I'm sure he'll hate a lot of these changes. He hasn't bought the game yet since he just moved to a new place and doesn't have his xbox there yet.

Passing is a huge turn off imo. I'm still not sold on it either way yet.

Passing is fuckin great, it's just a real steep learning curve.
The difference between holding pass for half a second, 3 quarters of a second and a full second......before making the pass, is going to give you a different pass speed. You need to get used to it.
Accuracy you also need to be spot on with where you are aiming.
Receiving passes, you need to use the LT modifer to turn your body and actually have the puck land on your stick. Previous NHL's the puck would just warp on your stick when it came into your body and that doesn't happen anymore with the new physics.
The game is much more precise.
Ask Krebs, doesn't now how to be precise with the stick lift and spends the game in the box.Comment

The passing is just odd. I've noticed for me anyways. In EASHL people can't accept my passes. I just don't know if guys arn't holding the LT down all the time or if I just can't pass good enough. In other games though the cpu never has problems receiving it.

This game is almost too hard on offence.
I'm thrilled if I can get 2 goals a game.
Both online games so far - against New Jersey - which doesn't help matters.

The hip check button will be the downfall of the team my buddies and I are on in EASHL, they love it WAY too much and it is entirely too inaccurate to use unless you have a guy perfectly lined up, and even then it's kind of iffy. Stick lift is fairly annoying because I've gotten it perfect a few times but the guy keeps skating with the puck without skipping a beat.Comment
