got outshot 25-20, lost 2-1. he scored on a tipped point shot, i got one back a minute later stealing a turnover and a quick pass tap in.

with 30 seconds left he got a garbage goal. this i've seen twice now where the shot is saved and it pops up on the back of the goalies neck, then drops down. he tapped it in when that happened. it's a bit odd of a rebound.


this game is flat out fantastic online.

Look at the EA forums, some dude drove 2 hours and got bent cause they promised him a game yet sold out, so he made a thread and raged calling them out.

got my first EASHL goal, point shot off my leg, reviewed and it's good.

wahoo.

1 minute later i sniped the top corner on a high slot one timer.

2-0 but gettnig outshot 12-3 going into the 3rd. lol. my teammate is a cherry picker that spams the call pass button. they have a "tap tap tap" sound of the stick tapping the ice, gets old real fast. won the game 2-0, shots were 16-6 for the other team. hah

time between periods is nothing, no more staring at your back for 2 minutes.

How is the speed in the 1v1? It was to slow for me last year.

You'll probably find it slow again this year then, but I'm cool with it.

You get a better feel for speed with the Hustle feature, a better feel for different speeds for each skater. I can take off with Marleau and charge the net pretty good. Using A to protect the puck won't slow you don't as much like last year, when you get the edge on the outside you'll still grind your legs toward the net.

My game should be arriving on Monday, so I am rolling with the demo so far. How are you supposed to score in this game?

I can't get a pass through the defense, my defense isn't giving up goals either, but still how do I score? LOL

Demo = Getting the puck back to the point or into the slot.

Its all about the high % scoring chances. I kinda like how this is since I played a heavy heavy shutdown D style in 1 v 1 games last year so hopefully I can carry that over. Blocking shots should play a more important role this year.

Another thing I found in the demo and I'm not sure if it was like this in NHL10s hardcore mode was if you hold down the RT button it kinda builds up your pass power and allows you to have more control of it instead of just tape to tape passes thanks to pass assist last year.

Walked in a threw my pre order down today too.

Tuesday though is looking like a huge bitch day in terms of me working so I might be fucked. A couple people are coming back from vacations and I looked at their emails to see whats in store for me and it doesn't look good. I'm not sure if I can push back those appointments.
