Controlling multiple teams in Franchise Mode

I'm using two teams in franchise (Bears and Ravens). I didn't have any problems because bothe teams played week 1 games at different times. In week 2 they both play on Sunday at 1pm. I play the Bears game first and afterwards see that the Ravens game was simmed.

How can I avoid this? I never had a problem with it in years past.

I believe you can just ignore the times and look at the schedule like a list. Play whichever is higher on the list as I believe it simulates from top to bottom.
