With my sliders, the game is way more defensive ... and I like playing offline because all my opponents play a lot like they do in real life.
And I don't have to be annoyed by stupid lag.

Maddenwars is a good group. OVerall skill level is better over here though. I played over there the first year people started flaking out on madden and enjoyed it for the most part. I dont like how they have random "games" within the game like "no kicking on 4th down" and crap like that though

I haven't played that much later due to me still recovering from surgery. I seem to only have enough energy for league games right now. This liquid diet shit is kicking my ass, I've lost 16 pounds in 2 weeks. I'll be playing alot more when I get the energy to do so.

Mobb bring them Eagles to the Ville. Besides, i['m playing more this year, than last year. I really like the game, but I understand nothing is perfect.

i play D, and other than BB, i've found a way to stifle (to some extent) anyone who has played against me... sometimes the game calls for a shootout, but i've played my fair share of 13-6 games

The way i'm seeing this is things aren't really dead.. perhaps o/l gameplay
has slid off a lil', for whatever reasons, be it bad patches, personal lives,
whatever, but I wouldn't say that the VSN is dead.. Personally, i'm not in
the wealthy/rich category to be able to work short days and come home and
run Madden all aft/evening long.. and even if I were I still doubt I would, but
only because there's a lot to life, wayyyy more than a PS3 & Madden.. But
again, for me, it's always been like that/this.. I play when I can, and for once
am happy to say that i'll more than likely be rollin' deeeep into this year &
more than likely next year.. I may not be on ALL the time, but when I am on
it would be nice to (as Mobb put it) be able to run vs. more than just the
usual.. if not, hey there's always off-line mode to keep the skills sharp so
when EA (or for that matter whoever) get's this shyt right it'll still be cool
to run games online.. I think it just needs to be recognized that we all have
lives outside of Madden, and for some it's a privelage to play when time
allows, and to have a good group of fellas to run against is a definite plus..
So, wether it's been at MM, OS, or VSN, we're all still basically around, but I
see a LOT more mf'ers takin' care of their biz, which IMO is the way it should
be.. hell, we'll always be here, one way or another.. *smile*

The game is actually pretty decent, and I've always been someone who could overlook game flaws to play with my peeps at MM or VSN. But it's come to the point that I can't deal with the disconnects and lag anymore. It really is inexcusable on EA's part. After eight years of Madden online play there should NEVER be a disconnect (or if there is, there needs to be a way to resume play at the disconnect point). We are dealing with some of the same issues that were around in 2003. F'ing ridiculous. I'm tired of giving EA my money for sub par online play.
