It's not hard to do the moves gents, you just have to practice.....the controls this year are tits

As for the turnovers, erase everything you knew about the past 2k games, they don't let you just pass recklessly anymore....you really have to set your men up and make sure the cpu is not denying them the ball before you pass it

There's a new setting this year, where you can set your guys to deny the ball.....I noticed the cpu relies on that tactic A TON.....at first I was getting a bunch of my passes stolen too, but I caught on to what they were doing.....I started being more careful now and as a result my turnovers have dropped

Another thing, if the cpu is overplaying your man in the post, make him cut to the basket.....after a few back door slams the cpu will cut that overplaying shit out and guard your guy straight up

This game is really deep and there's a lot of shit under the hood you have to dissect......it's no longer just a pick up and play game

3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complaining

Another thing I'm absolutely loving, the fact that you can run plays for your guys on the bench.....no longer is all the players tied to the same three of four generic plays

For instance, I use the Knicks and I set up some sick three point plays for Andy Rautins (he's basically useless aside from pulling from three, so makes no sense having him post up)......you can set them up beforehand in the playbook screen.....so when he comes in, he has selected plays I run soley for him

They have preset plays for midrange as well....Good Lord this game never ceases to amaze

Rhu, could you post the plays you use?

I just downloaded some rosters from OS. can't wait to try these out. I like starting Turiaf and bringing Curry off the bench.

Not sure what you mean Jeff, unless your talking about the momentum physics? I know if you're running, and you want to pull for a jump shot your player will gather himself first....or if you want to change directions, you won't be able to turn on a dime as the physics come into play....that is by design though and takes some getting used to

You use Turiaf huh? I banished that waste of court space to the reserve list.....I'm giving the big Russian a look and the kid Randolph is amazing Jeff....give him a look if you haven't yet

I don't remember off the top of my head the name of the plays, but when I get into the game tonight I'll post the ones I like to run

                You still on PS2 brother?

With Amare, Chandler, Gallinari & Felton, I have enough scoring. All I use Turiaf for is rebounding, defense & putbacks. Despite being undersized at the 5, he gets plenty of boards. I want Randolph(a beast in 2K10) coming off the bench with Douglas, Azibuike, Mason & Eddy Curry(always money down low). The Russian kid was decent in 2K10 - maybe I'll start him once I use these updated rosters. I'm on DEFAULT/PRO so far. Once I learn the controls(which will take awhile, I'm not a young man anymore) I'll switch to SIM.

I'm on PS3 and PS2. PS2 is for the GTAs, MK and Madden 10. No new Madden for me until EA gets their shit together on Franchise.

only problems Im having online now are with ISO motion and the little lag that makes playing on ball D a really bitch to do efficiently which makes it easier for my opponent to dunk

So, that's basically saying it's the best 2K game on this generation of consoles. Which it should be.

It's the best basketball game, ever.

I have a better chance of having a winning record at this game:

Im back to liking the game again, lol. The 360 version is much better than the PC, despite the graphics not being as good. So Im glad I bought it, but they really need to crank up the on ball D or bring defensive lock back. It's still too easy to get separation with stick work. Mid range game needs a slight boost as well. Controls still aren't half as precise as they used to be (especially on D), but I can live with that if they fix those areas.

I thought L2 was the defensive lock?

It doesn't work like it used to, they changed it to 'aggressive D' now. Doesn't really lock you on your guy anymore.
