I completely forgot about downloading the theme last week, and I didn't get it until about 10-11 PST. Guess I didn't make the cut. :dontknow:

After playing for several hours now I am confident in saying the multiplayer will be a trillion times better. The beta is using Alpha code and still looks amazing. It seems as if Guerrilla Games took all of the gripes about Killzone 2 and fixed them. That weighted feeling that seemed like lag is completely gone. Everything is ultra responsive this helps aiming so much more.
Funny story when I started my 1st game I had jumped in late was trying to remember the controls. I accidentally cooked a grenade. Luckily I found some Helghast on a pillar above me. Chunked it up and it exploded as soon as it got up there. TRIPLE KILL. I got so amped that I was going nuts. I went ahead and rolled off on a 12 kill streak. I went from being in last to 1st in a minute.
I only touched on the Field Medic so I can get the ISA assault rifle. Everything must be bought using points you get from leveling up. Every level gets you one point. You can upgrade your profession skills. Like an upgraded medic can revive you with extra ammo or full ammo. They also have secondary skills that can be upgraded. A medic can turn on an aura that heals people in a small radius. When that skill is upgraded a robot medic follows you until you die healing you and the others around you. I have a feeling that is gonna get nerfed because when that robot medic is around there is almost no chance of the opponent killing you in a head to head firefight without getting the jump on you or having multiple enemies shoot at you.
Something that made me go WTF is that the shotty has a reflex scope on it. It actually helps accuracy shooting at someone from a distance. It is almost too accurate. That is something that will probably be addressed before release. Melee shots are now one hit kills with some cool ass assassination animations. Like on helghast had a mask that resembled big daddy from Bioshock. He was hiding in a corner and I jumped him with a melee attack. My guy steps in front of him and jams a knife right through his mask. The glass shattered with blood going everywhere. That was one of my most satisfying kills. Overall though the game is running amazingly smooth and looks great. KZ2 held my attention for quite some time, but in the end that little lag during aiming made it a very frustrating experience. KZ3 fixes those issues and is a very fun game. I'm now completely stoked for this game.

KZ3 Open Beta from Feb. 3rd - 15th
It’s Friday and it is a good news day! Between the 3rd and the 15th of February, you will be able to download and play the Killzone 3 Open Beta from the PlayStation Store.
This Beta will offer you exclusive early access to the MP05 ‘Frozen Dam’ multiplayer level from Killzone 3, including all three online multiplayer modes – Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone and Operations – as well as the offline multiplayer mode, Botzone. A sprawling asymmetrical map set in an old dam facility, the playing field in MP05 has been carefully tailored to fit each of the multiplayer modes.
These are the four multiplayer modes included with the Open Beta: be available in the final game:
Guerrilla Warfare (16 players)
Guerrilla Warfare is a standalone multiplayer mode similar to classic Team Deathmatch: You and your teammates must try to kill as many of the opposing team as you can before the timer runs out. In this mode, only the downstream monitor houses and repair bay are accessible, giving the map a very frantic pace.
Warzone (24 players)
If you’ve played Killzone 2, you may already be familiar with Warzone. It’s a round-based multiplayer campaign that consists of five randomly ordered mini-missions. In this mode the power house and penstocks directly under the dam are accessible as well, so there’s more room to come up with different strategies and approaches to your goal.
Operations (16 players)
Operations is a new multiplayer campaign which aims to deliver a more cinematic, story-based gameplay experience, similar to that of Killzone 3’s single-player mode. It consists of a sequence of linear mini-missions, in which the ISA must try to secure the docks and destroy the dam, while the Helghast must try to protect the dam facility.
Botzone (16 players)
Botzone is an offline multiplayer mode ideal for those looking to get to grips with the controls, the weapons or the map layout before going up against live players. Each of the aforementioned multiplayer modes can be played offline, against CPU-controlled opponents.Comment

btw seems controller input lag is still in the game (so I hear from some of the people playing the beta in the EU right now)
definitely bad to see hopefully it can be fixed
-----------------
Just played and input lag isnt so bad although controls are a bit wonky (may just be a KZ trait)
I dont know why the assault rifle is in the marksman category though and no othersRIP
