Aparently the indie devs are far from happy about the update.

I only got to check it out for literally two minutes. It seemed to be quicker but the visuals look like ass.

I felt like I was in a nursery school classroom with the muted colors and the softer aesthetic.

They need the option for skins (not themes) badly.

One thing that hurts the dash is its ambiance is child-like...the whole avatar presentation as well.

I'd like a skin or an option to make it more professional...more adult-like.

The best way I can put it is this.

When I opened up live for the first time I thought everything had 404'd because of the amount of white on the screen.

I agree. At least give us some options.

LOL at JMS. God forbid we have an opinion. If you like the look, great, then MS succeeded for you. But a ton of people hate the new look.

I like how everything moves faster but it still seems like once you click on something it still takes a bit to load. If I had an ISP that supported ESPN3 I would probably think it was a great feature. But my ISP doesn't so it's basically worthless to me. Watching 50 videos on Giants players impressions on their World Series win doesn't interest me in the slightest.

Throw sum PTI and around the horn on there
Xbox live exclusive programming and a better selection of games

M$ defended the live price hike by championing the espn
Feature, how about espn delivering more than bare bones support

But we could go through tis all again. The ads on PS3 don't even come close to the shit on 360. The only time I see ads on PS3 is when I tab over to the Network tab ( I think that's it) where the PS Store is located. And now with all this softer colors and larger avatars I feel like I'm watching Dora the Explorer when I turn on my 360.

Why is this even a point of discussion? Who sits around watching the dashboard getting pissed off about the ads? I use my 360 to play games, and occasionally to use Netflix. If you have no interest in Kinect of what have you, why not just breeze on by with the push of a button?

That's not even the point. Some people, myself included, like looking for new demos, XBLA games, preview videos, etc. Nothing like sifting through a pussy assed interface littered with loud blasting video Doritos ads.

And yes, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before Sony starts doing the same bullshit. But as for now their service is free and has nowhere near the ads this fluff service does.
