Nearly everything I've heard about ME1 tells me it's not for me and it's best to just jump into 2. All the mining, the driving sections, the elevator loading, the dice roll shooting. Plus it's way more of an RPG whereas the second one is more of a shooter/action game.
And most importantly, someone sent me an extra copy of the PS3 version, which comes with almost all the DLC.
So I could start out with ME1 and sludge through a game that will probably be way too slow for me, and then have to also get the second one on Xbox. Which would also mean that I would have to buy ALL the DLC because the Xbox version of ME2 is vanilla and doesn't come with the DLC. No thanks.Comment

The mining was introduced in ME2. Easily the worst part of the game.Comment

To get the upgrades you want, especially the ship upgrades in 2, you're going to have to do a decent amount of mining. Which I really didn't find all that horrible to make it through. I started ME1 last night and it's pretty fun so far. The only bad thing I have to say about it so far is finding places to be in cities is quite a bit more difficult than ME2, but not to the point of killing the game. After knowing how a lot of the story goes and whatnot, there's no way I'm going to go into ME3 with a half assed save like I originally planned on.Comment

I didn't know just how incredibly awesome it would be. At the time it was just another game to try out, and it was already on my shelf unlike ME1.Comment

Good to see Twigg gave props to how awesome I was at UC3 last night.
Near the end, I just shot all the Heavy Armored Machinegunners in the face like a G...
Unfortunately, Twigg and I had more success cheating the system on Co-op Arena for 30 minutes by killing all the unarmored dudes to fill the round quotas.
PKG Guy and Rocket Guy can eat a dick too.Comment

God damn I love the God of War games. I think I'm about a third of the way through Ghost of Sparta. Sorry if I ignore any messages the next few days but I want to finish this shit up.
I know Rylo wants me to play Bf3, but honestly, if they haven't nerfed the USAS I don't think I want to play. I haven't played that game in at least a month so I'll be beyond my usual terrible. Coupling that with the frustration of tons of assholes running around with that overpowered gun and I just might lose it.Comment

Finished Ghost of Sparta last night. It took me about seven hours. Awesome fucking game. Even though I beat it on the PSP probably less than a year ago it was still fresh to me. I fucking love the GoW games and it's amazing what a great job they did with both the PSP games. Ready At Dawn should be commended. You would never know that both of those games were previously on a handheld because they are such high quality.
I got all the trophies except for beating it on Hard, which will probably never happen, and beating the Challenge of the Gods, which I didn't feel like messing with last night.
Now I guess I will finally get to ME2 although I have a hankering for Sly 3. Damn it.Comment
