yep. i wouldnt touch the first game cause of how bad people said it was. All i can talk about is this game. itrs getting like a 7 on meta. But if you notice, alot of the scores are from dates prior to Jan 25, the console release date. That means the scores for the PC version are being applied. And anyone with the PC game will tell you that the game had alot of bugs when it came out, but they have since been patched.

the extent of the issues i see on 360 are your standard graphical hitches. things like pop in or a dip in the fps. But these happen so rarely that u dont even pay attention. 90% of the games out there will have the occasional hitch.

IGN gave it a 6 and the guy played the SP story in 14 hours. this is easily a 100+ hour game. i dont think they made this game for people who like in depth stories or cut scenes driven games. This is about role playing. building your guy the way you want. crafting items how u want, making spells that you want. exploring the world in the order you want

why i say its the deepest role playing experience is because of all the things you can do to build your role. the depth of the spells is more than just making the spells you want. The spells themselves can be made to have combo effects like nothing i have ever seen. think about DA and its spells. imagine taking 3 spells like fire bolt, fire blast and inferno and combining it into one massive spell.

In one spell you can have 3 different spells. Each of those spells has 6 different modifiers and 1 carrier (delivery method) effect. Thats 8 options for each spell slot...and there are 3 of spells in 1 spell. Thats 24 variables just for 1 spell.

Thats 1 spell - each having 3 spells inside - each having 1 spell type, 1 carrier, 6 modifiers to equal 24 variables. But it doesnt stop there.
Each of the spell types, carriers and modifiers can have 10 cards that can be stacked....that now equals 240 variables for 1 spell....How amazing is that? the options are endless

that amount of amazing depth is what this game is about. this concept applies to the size of the world, the explorations, the crafting and weapons, the potions....this game is all about role playing

talking about building the role you want. use DA again to compare. In DA you have 4 classes that you choose. If you picked a rogue then you have abilities available based on being a rogue. you have good options for that rogue in DA. you can be a thief, with stealth who fires arrows and/or handles duel wielding weapons. But lets say you want to combine your rogue with Sten, or combine your rogue with Wynne...or you want to combine your rogue with both Sten and Wynne, and Alistar. you cant do that in DA or most other rpgs. you are stuck with your rogue unless u start a new game.

in TW2 you can combine all those things. you can make your mage also be a lockpicking thief who can fire powerful spells and be a duel wielding weapon user who can also fire arrows. There are no classes. You decide what type of role you want to play. The possibilities are endless. And if you build your guy and decide you dont like him, you can pay coin to be able to redistribute your points.

make no mistake, u have to be able to delve into this game. There is a steep learning curve for even the most seasoned rpg player (which i am not).

Ive only gotten to play this about 2.5 hours now because I had long weekend working with the business and super bowl sunday and all. Im so hooked on this I cant wait to play each night. Im still learning as I go on, like Im carring to many items and shit and learning to switch over between my different weapons Im carrying.

But this game is great, Im not even noticing the little things that some of you guys pointed out. Will take me a little longer cause I usually dont get on much during the week maybe an hour or two at night but it is well worth it. Thanks for recommending it.

i love the 3 different weapon types you can set. i have dpad left set as a tank, dpad up set as a mage and dpad right set as an archer. I have also used the soul patcher to redistribute my points and am just pumping my points into mage now. Also having to buy alot of items for my mage rather than being able to find it in loot. Alot of the loot i am finding is for tanks and archers.

its a tough game to buy since 1 was so bad and even the pc version having issues pre patch. Everything i read says the 360 version is superior to the ps3.

i still have not touched the main quest. I am right at the start of chapter 1 of the main quest. I have been doing side quests. These quests are really quite good. There is actually something to do in these rather than something dumb like buy a bottle of wine for joe boo in the dr's lab.

Dont get me wrong they have delivery type quests. But its a bit more in depth. Like i had to go kill beavers to render fat. Take the fat to an oven in the mage guild, make black candles that heal, then take the candles to an infirmary

one i did last night was cool. I had to goto this alchemists house cause his potion went array and he mutated some fish into these evil creatures. So i had to locate the house, go in and clear it out. it was full of these creatures and a ton of loot.

i have not done a side quest that didnt take at least 20-30 mins. (minus the starter tutorial types)

coop was of interest. It much different than the SP mode. i played 1 of the 7 chapters. There is more of a path you follow to complete the chapter. I also dont know how 8 people could co-exsist on this chapter. maybe it has more bad guys with more players. But if not, i could see the chapter being flown thru very fast. i got thru it in about 1.5 hrs by myself. it would have to have more creatures with more than 1 player

no idea about the shipwreck thing.

taking apart weapons is simple. bring up the inventory screen and RT/LT to your weapons. highlight a weapon and push Y for crafting. in there you click the option to break it down.

another easy way is instead of clicking Y to craft. you hold LB and Y and it automatically will break it down...u still get the option to confirm either way

as a mage, i dont need the resources from breaking down a weapon because i am not crafting any weapons. I would rather sell it for coin. I only focus on breaking down staffs and other mage related loot because those resources can be used to upgrade my mage items.

I got confused when another screen popped up and I think it asked me to place things in certain places. . Ill do the LB and Y

The Shipwreck is very very early in the game Im suppose to find the Teleport and as I was walking around the place under the Prophet I went into a room and the Orc that taught me Bow/Arrow, asked me to go and pick up scraps and report back anything I find.

oh, yeah thats a tutorial quest on the starter island. i dont remember it though. i might not have picked it up. I did complete a quest for the masonry orc and need to head back to that island. I want to explore it more too

that screen that popped up is the crafting screen. The middle left option is for upgrading, but you have to have some attributes leveled up high enough to upgrade it. the middle right option is for breaking down the item. The top option is for adding crystals to improve the item....but you need crystals. The option on the bottom is to change the color...but u gotta have paint to use this

                                im fucking invisible.

i got some kick ass spells now. i can create light which is huge for dungeons so i can see. i have a torch, but u cant hold the torch while fighting. i can walk on water. I have an open lock spell...although i love lockpicking in this game. I can summon 6 different creatures to battle with me. 2 at a time, I use the psyche card to summon a stinger. i dont know how to describe this thing but it sure looks evil. I also have a health spell and my fire, ice or shock bolt...plus the force spell which acts like a shotgun blast
