I'd like to see The Simpsons come to PSN/XBLA. I think there is a sliver of hope that it may happen too considering Konami made both the X-Men and The Simpsons arcade games.

Yeah. There was a separate thread for it that got buried and it's been mentioned in this thread several times. I think the discussion about speculated price was on the last page. I, along with BazookaJoe, think it will be $40 just because that is right up M$'s greedy alley but there is no way it's worth that much. Although I'm sure you would disagree as that game is one of your favorites. But no way is a HD remake for ONE game worth the price of 2/3 of a brand new triple A title today. Online features or not.

And I thought it was speculated to be released this fall, coinciding with the ten year anniversary?

Sony has pushed back the release windows for action title The Last Guardian as well as the HD remakes of PlayStation 2 titles Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

The Last Guardian, the new title from Ico designer Fumito Ueda, was originally slated to launch this holiday, while the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection was set to debut this spring.

"To provide more challenging and better quality of content to users and to fulfill First Party Studio's obligations, I decided to postpone its release timing," Ueda said of Last Guardian in a statement posted by the official PlayStation blog. "All the members of my production team are working together at a fast pace to develop and release the game in First Party Studio quality."

The game features the adventures of a young boy assisted by Trico, a giant hybrid creature with what seems to be features from a cat and bird.

Ueda says he will announce an updated release date at a later time. Also, no new launch date was offered for the Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection.

Just saw the talk of Halo, so here you go guys:

Joystiq has learned that the previously rumored remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will indeed launch this holiday season for Xbox 360 with a full visual overhaul. Sources explain that the re-release is not Bungie's 2001 Xbox game simply running at a higher resolution -- it's being remade with new art assets. While Halo's audio will likely remain unaltered, the controls will allow for more recent Halo configurations.

The Halo: Combat Evolved remake is allegedly being developed by New Jersey-based Saber Interactive, the company behind TimeShift and Namco's upcoming Inversion, but we've been unable to confirm the nature of the engine powering it. We understand that it's something other than the Reach engine.

The Halo: Combat Evolved update, one of two Halo games currently in development under the watchful eye of 343 Industries, is expected to support 1080p resolution and 3D televisions. Details on multiplayer are supposedly still being worked out, but we understand the remake will likely feature online co-op (the original game supported two-player split-screen co-op).

The game is expected to re-evolve on November 15, 2011, ten years after Halo: Combat Evolved launched alongside the Xbox. Our sources didn't know of any plans to similarly upgrade the recently disconnected Halo 2, but it's hard to imagine Microsoft playing favorites with its biggest franchise.

Not sure how I feel about multiplayer though. They will certainly do it, but I don't see the point in it, unless they are bringing all of the old maps with it, and add new ones.

I may get this, simply because I never played the first Halo. I'm really not a big Halo fan, though, so it's lowest on the totem pole at this point.

Yeah, I saw that on Kotaku/Joystiq last night. It's a bit of a shame.

Most Halo players feel that Halo and Halo 2 are the best MP experiences in the series, so I totally see the point in it. The game wouldn't sell at all without MP.

How it translates to 2011 remains to be seen.

Brnt, what I really meant to say was what Joe said. Honestly, nothing can beat the first Halo and hooking up multiple Xbox consoles and having up to 16 people in a room just shooting the hell out of each other. I love playing online with some games today, but that was classic multiplayer gaming in my mind, and it will never be repeated.

With the disappointment of Socom4, I would definitely like to see a HD remake of Socom2. I only browsed through the 1st page, but for the hope of humanity, I hope this isn't the first mention of it.
