[PS3] god of war 3

searched for a thread but nothing would come up. i know we had one.

this game is EPIC. for all the love that UC2 got this game should be getting the same. The story isnt even close to what UC2 (probably why it didnt get the love) gave us, but the graphics are about the best i have ever seen

the gameplay is what it is and it does what its supposed to do extremely well. But the new moves and weapons put the gameplay over the top. seeing kratos pull off these wicked ass combos is nothing short of amazing. Visually it is so stunning to watch. I dont care for the quick time kills, but they are still a joy to watch.

the game adds things as u go and every level seems to add something mind blowing. seeing guys get their heads smashed to a pulp, or getting their head ripped off, or cutting off someones legs.....these gore kills that keep happening always out does the previous.

this is a game i could actually play thru multiple times because it never gets old beating the holy crap out of bad guys. Add this one to your xmas list, or at least go rent it. i thought the demo felt like more of the same from 1 & 2, but while thats true on some levels, it also goes way beyond anything u saw in 1 & 2

This game apparently is amazing. Still haven't bought it for some reason but it should get game of the year imo.

Just beat it last week, I still think that the Ares fight at the end of 1 was the most difficult final boss. But the amount of different weapons and combos in 3 is incredible.

finally finished this game. long ending that kind of dragged out like the end of a movie you want to have be over. the story made no sense to me and really didnt have much of a point. So to have this long drawn out ending was just annoying to me

the battles and weapons really make this game great. plus the graphics and the scale of the game is incredible

I was honestly floored when I first fired it up. I remember when I played the demo that came with the GoW Collection and thought that the graphics didn't look like anything worth writing home about. Well that shit was obviously an early build because the final game was insane.

I think the GoW series might be my favorite. Like Maynard said, fucking dudes up in interesting and vicious ways never gets old. I've played every one, some more than once, and they were all great. The PSP games were outstanding. I still can't get over how they pulled off two great GoW games on a handheld.

i agree. i thought the demo was ok, but the full game looks pretty amazing....beyond amazing actually. the gameplay was fantastic. i felt like the story was an add on....it didnt matter to me either way....i just wanted to fuck shit up

Yeah, I guess there is only so much you can do when it's based on Greek mythology. Over the course of five games now the story ideas are going to dry up.

Besides the goal is always the same anyway; fuck up as many dudes as you can on your way to a God and then murder him. It's all about the journey in these games, not the destination.

How long did you bash Zeus face in before you realized you could stop at any moment. I did it for a solid 10 minutes just spamming the button. I even got my sister to start to spam it while I took a piss.

I am in the minority, but I wasn't a fan of God of War 3. I am too spoiled by Bayonetta's gameplay.

I think I did it for five minutes before realizing it wasn't going to end.

i had the guide up at the time cause i just wanted to finish the game. after about 2 mins i read the part about stopping whenever
i thought that battle was pretty weak for the ending. i thought hades was the biggest challenge. a real pain in the ass frustratingly hard boss

Put this back in. Will beat this weekend. I am at Poseidon's Chamber...still got a while to go. Thought I was closer.

Just beat the shit out of Hercules....love these boss battles!! No chasing around some bitch with her titties hanging out, nice outfit!
