Oh hey, Boucher didn't get murdered just before we were supposed to do a podcast the other night. I guess that's good news.
I just decided to keep the 360 version. Fuck it. I'm about to start up the single player.
It's funny that right on boot up there was a patch (not that surprising these days) and there is a scrolling ticker on the home screen that says something to the affect that they didn't expect such a high volume of players on day one and are working to get more dedicated servers going. Not sounding good.Comment

Ok, so I haven't even finished the first level yet but I'm really digging it. I think the graphics look pretty darn good. The voice acting leaves much to be desired, especially for the male character you first meet. The female character isn't as bad. The controls seem to be tight, the weapons have punch and the explosions are awesome.
The opening FMV and sequence were fucking awesome and very disturbing at the same time.
I really like the articles in the pieces of intel/newspapers you find. They seem very realistic.
I normally hate product placement in games but everything I've seen so far fits perfectly. I've seen a White Castle restaurant, a Full Throttle soda machine and a mention of Wal Mart in one of the intel article. It wasn't a flattering portrayal either.
The really weird thing is that the game never asked what difficulty setting I wanted at the start? I guess there aren't any?Comment

Product placement for this type of game is really crucial. It makes a bigger impact in terms of recognizing what our world could be like.Comment

I'm just surprised that some of these companies allowed the use of their product considering the theme of the game.Comment

Your (insanely) early impressions have piqued my interest. I'd be curious to see if you think it's worth the full $60 once done.Comment

Edit: Wasn't Aomori Prefecture in Japan one of the worst hit by the earthquake and tsunami? It's mentioned in another newspaper article I just found.Comment

Hey, twiggs, how is the story? Is character development good? Does it draw you in. I'm more of a Single Player story guy myself so I was really interested by this game.Originally posted by BookerT316Arcbomber your a fag if me posting get to you!Indianapolis Colts11-5AFC SOUTH CHAMPIONSComment

So far I'm really enjoying it. The atmosphere it the best part. Everything looks like what I would imagine it would if our country was under siege.
The music is nice. The graphics and lighting look great. The newspaper clipping strewn throughout the levels really seem to flesh out the story.
My only gripe so far is the voice acting.
Edit: Wow. Looking out at the makeshift football field turned prison camp is jaw dropping.Comment
