[360] Rumor: Halo 1 remake

I heard about this on a podcast earlier and it was the first I had heard of it. I googled it and found several articles.

It seems like a good idea, especially if they include multiplayer. But not including the second game in a packaged deal, ala God of War, seems dumb.

Anything more than $20 would be a big mistake.

I was refering to the annualization of the halo franchise

I hate Kotick/activision for introducing the concept of annualization into the non-sports related genres, Kotick/activision have proven successful in the short term with this concept and now the rest of the gaming industry is on board as if to say "me too", burned out franchises be damned...

Only things wrong with the game were modders at high levels, and the bxr rrxyrrx glitches. Other than that the game was flawless imo

Fuck I loved that game. In its heyday I had 3 roommates and we had a 4 TV LAN setup, it was a blast.

idk who this kotick is, but what are these activison games u are talking about? i assume the COD franchise....but again, its false because games were being done annually before COD. Go back to the 80ies and you will notice a little midget plumber game that is still being done today

id dont have a problem with remakes of great xbox/ps2 games because they were great games, and because its really only been done with one other game, GOW. As far as annual-izing goes, i dont mind that either if the follow up is a solid follow up.

with advanced technology the costs for development increases bigtime so these devs have to make a solid flow of cash to stay alive. and people want those games annually anyways

twigg they released NBA Jam as a standalone game for $50 when it supposed to be a freebie in a $60 game what makes you think Halo 1 will be $20? It wouldnt be worth more than $20 but i severely doubt it would be priced that low.

The campaign sucked all kinds of ass.


Annuals remakes etc...All I want is awesome. If its not an absolutely kick ass game then dont bother. It does seem alot of these annuals can just be expansion maps/packs. But 60>20 I guess.
