Yeah that side stuff can easily be skipped for the most part.
There were a few cool missions like the one where you dock the disabled ship, but otherwise meh.
Have to say reading the past couple pages, especially that article about Chobot, is super depressing.
Then again, I called it ages ago, the demise of Bioware is complete when this game releases. It'll be pretty good, lack some polish but won't meet the expectations fans from the beginning expect and deserve.
I suspect this is my final Bioware purchase, I've always been a massive fan of their work since the mid 90's PC games they made, but EA is cancer to game studios...it always goes this way. Star Wars will not deliver financially and it'll hurt future Bioware projects, no doubt about it.
Other than that, I think Bioware has been great, and I think will continue to be great. The Old Republic has so far done a great job, though I don't know the whole MMO market and how things will play out financially down the road for them.Comment

Mass Effect Infiltraitor
Originally posted by IGNThe first details on Mass Effect's iOS expansion have been revealed. Mass Effect 3 Infiltrator is described as a companion app to Mass Effect 3 on consoles. Gamers that play the game will increase their "galactic readiness" in the console and PC release, thus increasing their odds of receiving the game's best ending.
From an EA PR pamphlet:
"Take the all-out galactic war in Mass Effect 3 on-the-go with Infiltrator, a fully-featured iOS third-person shooter showcasing stunning graphics and authentic weapons and powers from the Mass Effect series."
"Inspired by the deep and immersive Mass Effect 3 universe, in Infiltrator players will help to free prisoners from a hostile Cerberus base and will receive rewards for collecting evidence of Cerberus' crimes along the way. Every completed rescue and intelligence discovery in Infiltrator will increase a player's Galactic Readiness rating directly through the Galaxy at War system in Mass Effect 3."
No word on how gamers' Infiltrator progress will be shared with Mass Effect 3, although EA Origin integration seems like a safe bet. IGN will have more on Mass Effect Infiltrator soon.

I wonder if there will be micro-transaction style DLC you can buy that will increase your Galactic Readiness Rating.Comment

just read some shit about some option where you get texts from the game about the galactic war in your game or some shit.
i'm not even going to link this garbage.
yes EA, I want my fucking video game to text me updates when I'm not playing it while you try and push some DLC down my throat.Comment

You don't even need it for the best ending so why bother?
Plus the MP is completely optional toward game completion so there's still a shot your Shepard won't lose sleep if Extraction Team Alpha isn't beat Cerebus down somewhere.
I'd lose my shit over a .99 cent Auto-Fish Feeder though.Comment
