It appears ever since Bioware teamed with EA shit has been going downhill. I hope for all of your guy's sake ME3 is still an awesome game.

I guess it's probably good for me because if and when I ever get to this game there will probably be a version with all the DLC included.

They gave a fairly reasonable explanation for it...IF they hadn't included the DLC with the collector's edition. That factor makes it sound pretty EAish.

I don't mind day 1 DLC as long as what is on the disc is a complete game, and I understand why it happens sometimes, but in this case it's gross to try and claim "Hey, we were using resources on the DLC team and it happened to just come out in time (essentially)" and then turn around and say "We can't give it to you...UNLESS you upgrade to the collector's edition!" is just super dickish.

Also, the hope that I have for this not ending up like DA2 (a game which I honestly did like in a lot of ways -- it was just super rushed) is that this has been a pretty typical 2 year development cycle from ME2 to ME3.

As for the $10 DLC Complaint, the character/mission(s) are COMPLETELY optional and aren't 'cut content.'

From what I've heard, it came down to finishing it after the game was completed and ready for press OR... leaving it unfinished and letting it die.

What you do with your $10 is up to you but you either buy the DLC or don't... or don't get the game at all.

Meh, tired of excuses like this. Even had they finished it after the game was completed they still could have given it out free, or at least free to people who bought the game new (like I believe they've done with other DLC items in their games). They decided to charge $10 because they know the amount of people that will buy > any backlash.

End of the day you're right, you either buy it or you don't. But really fuck EA.
