I thought I heard word that a multiplayer beta was coming at some point this month? Any one else hear anything about that? All I've read indicates that it is a private beta and is already finished.

I also remembered that I still have to play Arrival, but first need to get my saves off my other 360 that someone is borrowing.

Arrival isn't worth it unless you're getting it for cheap. It sets some things up well, but overall it is pretty shitty compared to the rest of the great ME2 DLC.

My dumb ass downloaded it a while back and couldn't play it because I had no saves.

That isn't a troll attempt either. That is the truth. It's amazing how much people fellate that game. It is a decent game, but it was so overblown as this end all be all game and I was super underwhelmed by it. ME3 is going even further away from the RPG aspect to pretty much being Gears of War with tactical team choices.

Nah. They smartened up and made a story game mode for the people that don't like running around and shooting. Also made an action mode for people that just want a shooter and nothing else.

So I'm hoping they'' bring back some of the RPG elements in the normal mode. I think they realized that made a mistake with this in ME2 and some other games they've done.

We'll see if they end up stretching themselves too thin making all these game modes, putting in multiplayer and motion BS trying to appeal to everyone.

If Bioware avoids the cookie cutter dungeons formula from DA II, I'll be happy.

I'm not expecting a sweeping epic because you can predict what's going to happen...

Major character(s) dies [fan favorite or plot-related] during sad scene, huge battle set piece with your side winning the day at a heavy cost, Hero pays Ultimate Price to save Galaxy/Sells out alien allies as fodder so there's less people to bitch when Shep takes over.

...as long as the Co-Op extends the game for a bit, it'll sell to fans, new people and online clans alike.

I can see miles of mutants line up play online to boost "their" Shep.

To me, Mass Effect's gameplay is secondary. Its fun and gets the job done. I play the game because I like the exploring and seeing all the different places. The story is pretty interesting too.

I notice in that it says this

Squadmates that did not survive the final mission in Mass Effect 2 will not appear in 3. There will be a special way of importing your save file if Shepard died during the final mission of Mass Effect 2, confirmed by Bioware.

What I am wondering is how many people are they really catering too by letting you import a save file with a dead Shepard? Didn't you have to purposely do nothing at all in order for Shepard to die?

Maybe you play as Conrad if did his sidequests right.

Obviously Joker is going to have a breakthrough surgical procedure done to fix his brittle bones and is going to start kicking ass and taking names in Shepard's stead.
