yeah its wired. i am a fully converted wireless controller user now....but i can deal with wired if need be.
thats why i posted that wired controller. basically its wired over dead zone. I think it would be great to have the sticks setup like the 360 controller to play ps3 games. the stick layout and R2/L2 are the only design issues imoComment

It did make me realize something. I know tons of people talki about how the 360 controller is so much better than the PS3 controller because of the heft and weight of it. Well there is a reason for that. The god awful battery pack on the 360 controller. As soon as I played with that clone controller, which has a built-in rechargeable battery like the DualShock I thought "This thing fits in my hand like a 360 controller but it's so much lighter." And that was why.
Plus one of the main reasons I bought it was to play FPS games like Battlefield because I think the 360 controller is more suited to those games. Well guess what? Battlefield doesn't let you change your control scheme so I was still stuck using the R1/L1 buttons to shoot. Dumb. It feels appropriate on a PS3 controller but terrible on a 360esque one.Comment

I mentioned the weight because I remember the debates back at MM and so many people said "I love the 360 controller. It just has much better weight and heft compared to the PS3 controller. The PS3 controller feels so cheap because it's so light."Comment

he size was even mentioned in this thread. i remember those discussions at MM...silly imo. i used to think about how light it was and the feel.....it made me think i would break the thing in my hands. but its totally durable. i still use the original controller i got with the system. that like 3 years of wear and tear and it still looks and plays like new.
while typing there i was thinking i should just get a duel shock. the one with the rumble. mine doesnt have thatComment

I have the chatpad on my 360 controller and it weighs like 4 pounds. I get a workout.
I don't think any of those controllers have feedback, and that makes a game complete, IMO. I hate hate hate the PS3 controller, but I'm stuck with it.
Oh, and North...whoever you are/were...you are being a dick to be a dick. You never post in the Arcade section. Maynard does...and he trusts the judgment of the people here. That's why he asked, because 90% of the posters here were Game Room posters on MM....and he knows them.
People have different preferences. You obviously need a smaller controller with hand cramping stick placement to enjoy gaming, while Maynard enjoys the layout of the 360.
You remember when mommy used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it?" Why don't you try it sometimes? It works.Comment
