If anyone gave two cruds about them PS3 wouldn't have suffered the way it did.

The user scores and complete lack of impact on the industry speak volumes about those games.

Even Madden 10/11 sold millions and got 85+ on MetaCritic.

Compared to the GOW , Halo , COD taking turns ass raping sales records those games are not worth hyping.
Do any of those games even remotely have the sustained online communities the above franchises have ?

Angry Pigs would likely make more impact than any of the titles posted would.

great point about madden and its metacritic score. that just shows that sales and scores dont mean anything.

i wish more of the upcoming ps3 games were worth buying so i could get more from my ps3

You are clueless. Have you ever actually checked the uses scores on Metacritic. The reason they are so low is because fanboys from either side go in and post 0 or 1/10 ratings. It;s like that with any console exclusive.

"Complete lack of impact"? Yeah, you're right, none of those games have left an impact on gaming at all. I guess Halo or your beloved GoW haven't impacted it either?

twigg the games you say are worth having are more niche-esque games where if you really like moto-cross you will probably buy it, everyone else though will most likely ignore it.

And what is the facination with twistedmetal I remember playing it on the ps1, but it was never that awesome imo and now with even more awesome arcade racers I doubt it has that big an influence on the gamingsphere. *(I'm not really a car game type of guy. the burnout franchise is the exception)

ico/shadow of colossus I will say my interest is piqued as I never played shadow of colossus and always wanted to the see the scale mentioned in all the reviews, but it is still a remake and I'm guessing some people still may have their version of the game and a ps2 to play it. (I do expect it to do well though if they price it the same as the god of war bundle though)

with socom zipper has to prove that they returned to the original formula first from the decent socom 3 b/c there are too many shooters to choose from (I know its more hardcore series, but hey look at socom 3)

the rest are quality franchises that have their hardcore fans

the games that I will def get from that list is Uncharted3

and probably killzone 3 if it gets praise for something other than its graphics (like a story and a good control scheme that doesn't feel laggy)

i liked twisted metal. thats one i would rent and maybe buy if it was great. i think online would be a blast. even UC3 is a rental for me cause its all about the SP in that game for me and its pretty much 10 hrs long which means rent.

the show is a must for me. i figure i got over 250 hours out of that game this year

Twisted Metal 2 was one of the best games ever for the original PS if you ask me. Me and my friends (and even wife who was gf at the time) would play it for hours upon hours. We played it more than Mario Kart and that was saying something at the time :laugh:

thats why i think online would be sweet in that game. just beating the crap out of each other while driving like madmen.....thats why we need a new road rash game. people like beating on each other at high speeds

The online aspect sounds pretty fucking awesome. It's original to say the least. The only thing I'm worried about is how dominant the helicopter will be.
