Turtle Beaches are pretty affordable these days, if you look in the right places. Unless you're going for their latest model(which is the X41 I think, and even that can be found cheap at times).

I have had my wireless mic for over a year now. No complaints other than the fact you have to talk sort of loud for people to hear you. When you play at night and everyone is trying to sleep it can be a real bitch.
