    [PS3] tversity?

i always read about how tversity is so great. i use WMP and it seems to do the job. it doesnt like mp4 files for streaming to the ps3 so i am interested in trying tversity

i DL it and it shows all my files including the mp4's. but other than that it doesnt stand out as being any better. seems alot less organized too

so whats the draw for this software specifically related to streaming to ps3?

I use it as well and it works great

I'm pretty sure my P90X is in .mp4 format and it does skip sometimes wirelessly however.

I thought it was identical to PS3 media server though I have never used it.

I believe it can just play more formats than WMP and it might even transcode as well.

I use it at my parents house for my dad's PS3 and it's nice, but it doesn't do anything way better.

If you use a Mac, I'd recommend Rivet for streaming. It's an amazingly lightweight program that just sits in the prefpane and is free as well.

this was my take from using tversity for a day. i didnt see any hoolpa so wondered if i was missing something. the only real benefit i saw over WMP was its ability to stream mp4 which i have very few of
