    Which Madden to get?

I'm a hockey guy, but I want to take a break from NHL and play some football, but I have no real interest in paying $70 for Madden11 as from what people have said, its a piece of shit. I want to play just offline stuff, and maybe do a chise.

My brother has Madden 09 for Xbox, and I downloaded Madden 08 last night for PC.

Any other options. And if I get an older game, is there a way to get updated rosters on xbox version? I know the PC version would be easy for that.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

    "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

You could prob scoop up Madden 10 or Madden 11 for pretty dam cheap. check craigslist and a lot of stores have Madden 11 pretty cheap now. And for the disc copy.... just go in the menus to "Online" select play now and it will download the last roster released for that year.

Can't beat that lol... And a lot of people have rosters that are up to date for that game too for offline and chise... if you dont mind the slip in graphics from the newer games then that would be the way to go and have a lot of fun in a chise.

Madden 11 used right now is still $54.99 up here in Canadaland, so that is why I was a little against getting it right now. It isn't worth it.

Might try my local EB games and see in the used bin what they have. Was going to do a PC version, but at this point, I just want a game that plays well. I'm not all caught up on graphics, I just want it to play right. 05 seems to be the year things worked.

Then don't get it on next gen... 05 would prob be your best bet

None of them is probably your best bet.

Just get NFL 2k5. With updated rosters it's probably better then Madden 11 for next gen.

Probably going to look out for 2k5 and see what happens. Other then that, I got Madden 08, I just need a controller that works. Hopefully the one I have does, but I'm not holding my breath.

for 2K you need some cable (forgot what it's called...it's on OS)...unless you mean 2K for PS2. That version is not as polished as the Xbox version.

Yeah I read I need some cable to trasfer shit. The copy of Madden 08 I had didn't work right, so I may just grab 09 from my brother and use that shit.

So I have Madden 09 and 08 for xbox. Leaf had them both. I played 09 last night and lost 10-6 as the Ravens vs Denver. I think I had about 40-50 plays, even between throwing and running, and about 300yrds or so. I didn't change the settings on time, so it was default.

Going to run a franchise, just have no idea what team to be. I'm dealing with 09 rosters. Was thinking of the Falcones, or maybe picking a shitty team and trying to rebuild, or go with the Ravens.

I was thinking of the Lions because it was this season they lost all 16 games, so it could be a "restart" before the biggest fall.
